Unsigned News Posts
Hello Mercsenary, I noticed your comment and signed my Rhodenbank news post from the previous day. As I usually report in Dulston or Pescodside I feel it's important to follow the local suburb rules for such things. Of course my personal opinion is that suburb news items should not be signed. Sure I can see the point of signing them, as it adds validity, but if a NPOV news items was false enough to be noticed it would simply be deleted or the user who posted it identified by the wikipage history. That said, the reason why I support not signing news items is the simple fact that I prefer to re-write news posts (from time to time) so that they make for better reading. Of course if a news post is signed, well, then you have a problem. To edit the news post you're now tampering with what someone specific said and that's a touchy subject. That's why I prefer all news items to be anonymous and the facts remain as posted... with liberal amounts of adverbs and adjectives thrown in to spice it up. Or at least that's my personal opinion. --Mobius187 February 27 2007, 9:34 AM (EST)
- Ah, okay it's just that I prefer to see the news signed at least then we know its someone here and not just anybody who can just come here and mark up the page. I hope I didnt offend you when I asked for a signature. If I did, my apologies.--Mercsenary T•RCDC 01:38, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
