Hello Rgon. I just read your comment on the sledge hammers suggestion. I did something with blunt weapons awhile back, but it got spammed rather fast - too fast in my opionion, but that doesn't count for much. If you want to have a look at it in the Peer Rejected Suggestions (under 29th of july - blunt weapons) and tell me what you think, I'd be grateful. RE: Yeah, it is rather irritating. I think a lot of suggestions get to hastily spamminated. Oh well, that's the nature of the thing, I suppose. Anyway, I went ahead and read the suggestion you made. That really does seem to be strongly on the right track to me. However, I would have pretty strong hesitations removing 5AP from a player so quickly. Then again, looking at it as written, the hit percentages with slam would be just under 9%, so you can really expect to have a successful slam only 4-5 times a day. Maybe scale back to hit percentage of Slam just a touch, and toss in a greater prerequisite (it's kinda similar to Headshot, so limiting to higher level players would probably be a good idea). Actually, 20% gives a total successful slam percentage of 7%, or about 3-4 in 50 AP. That's a little higher in total AP lost by zombies than a maxed axe and headshot (about 2-3) which might be justified by the fact that it's still going to be doing less damage. 15% would provide a pretty closely comparable amount of AP loss to the maxed axe/headshot combo. I don't know how well it would be recieved anyway, but these modifications could make it fairly workable. This is the sort of thing that needs to happen, though. Some sort of effect, rather just making an axe clone. Well, there's some ideas for you. Take care. --Rgon 21:16, 31 July 2006 (BST)
