- Hello, thanks for the welcome, Linkthewindow Stephen Krantz 07:38, 20 October 2008 (BST)
Hey
This was the first time I could get the wiki to even load for me properly today... it's been slow as heck recently. I'll start the pages tomorrow. Sorry about the delay. --YoHohoTalk 05:56, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Alliance and Alliance/Department of Emergency Management - Fuerza Latina
Should those be moved to a DEM subpage? --Janus talk 15:12, 7 May 2009 (BST)
- I think not. I think it's not appropriate to have them either as a DEM subpage or a FL subpage, because it concerns not one group but the relationship of two groups. Neither side should be considered to be "leading" in this relationship. That's the idea behind the setup. Also Alliance and subpages thereof might be useful for entirely different groups. Do you think the pages are inappropriate? - Stephen Krantz 16:17, 7 May 2009 (BST)
- No, I don't think they're inappropriate. I just couldn't figure out if there were only for DEM and allies or for every kind of group. It's actually a very good idea. :) --Janus talk 15:31, 8 May 2009 (BST)
- Ah, alright. Good you like it. Thank you for the heads up! Stephen Krantz 17:07, 8 May 2009 (BST)

It should be moved to Category:Alliances. What you are trying to make, while good, classifies as a category page. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 11:55, 9 May 2009 (BST)
- I see the point of that. Good idea. Do you think the individual alliance statement (currently: 1) should be moved, too? To a subpage of Category:Alliance? Or somewhere else? - Stephen Krantz 18:35, 9 May 2009 (BST)
- The way I see it, it could be under Alliance/ namespace, group namespace or anything, really. As long as it is put into the category, it counts. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 17:58, 10 May 2009 (BST)
- It's not a category page itself, and seems fine where it is, in the main namespace with the category tag on it. Categories are for organising multiple pages along a similar theme, so multiple alliance pages (including your own) go in Category:Alliances. If you had multiple pages just on your alliance with between DEM and Fuerza Latina, they could be placed in category called Category:DEM-FL Alliance or similar, but the info page itself stays where it is, and only the new category tag needs to be added to it (and all other pages needing to go in the new category) -- boxy talk • teh rulz 01:12 12 May 2009 (BST)

There is nothing on the main page Alliance and there seems to be an orphan here. What do you want to do with the main page? Maybe you can add an article or a graphic or a nice hat or something to dress it up? --– Nubis NWO 12:19, 3 July 2009 (BST)
- We originally deleted the main page and copied its contents over to Category:Alliances, because the original main page was only serving as a list of alliance pages- hence the move to a category instead. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 12:26, 3 July 2009 (BST)
- Thank you, DanceDanceRevolution, for taking over the answer. Nubis, I think you're right that there should be something on Alliance, some summary or declaration of purpose or such. Since I just retired from MPD I'm no longer so much dealing with alliances, but I'll keep it in mind. Everybody is of course welcome to contribute to that page. - Stephen Krantz 21:10, 3 July 2009 (BST)
