Description

Malton Police Department

Groser Crescent Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Pescodside close to the southern border with Dunningwood. The precinct is one of the more dangerous locations in Pescodside due to the fact that it is located so close to Dunningwood, as just south of the border dwell two of the larger zombie mobs in east Malton, namely the Drunken Dead and the Bela Lugosi Fan Klub. As such, zombie mobs striking forth from Dunningwood are known to siege Groser Crescent PD, since it's viewed as a prime target that's also close to home.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has never been to Groser Crescent PD, but he has expressed interest in improving relations between NecroTech and the often isolated precinct, as part of a general plan to improve Pescodside's overall defense against the zombie hordes.

Mandate

1) To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid of the precinct.
2) To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
3) To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Affiliates

To date police and military personnel stationed at Groser Crescent PD commonly work with survivors located in nearby resource buildings, namely:

  1. Headland Street Fire Station (92,16)
  2. Ludwell Lane Fire Station (92,15)
  3. The Inman Building (95,15)

Barricade Policy

This building should be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Pescodside Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups and the Dulston Alliance, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a shelter for Malton's inexperienced survivors and entry point into other nearby fortified buildings.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the Dulston Alliance or vigilante-minded survivor if caught in the act. If this happens the accused survivor is required to present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.

Survivors are reminded that should any member of the Dulston Alliance who finds the barricades raised higher that Very Strongly without any apparent danger to the building or area they have the authority to lower the barricades back down to Very Strongly in order to restore access to the building from the outside.

Current Events

February 20th 2009 Barricades reduced to "Lightly Barricaded due to small horde outside last night, Took down 2 of them, Had to move on. Lots of survivors inside, Only one remaining Zombie outside front door, Numerous stragglers in immediate area - XI TWO FIVE IX

March 12th, 2008 - Increased 'cades to "Loosely Barricaded", wish I could do more. Moving on to a safer place in an hour. - Sid Ri'cel

February 12th, 2008 - Mike Thriller, a well-known public defender has taken up residence within Groser Crescent PD.

October 5th, 2007 - Grocer Crescent PD is currently at EHB, as are all the buildings around it. I guess the fellas in it are being careful incase the zombies come back...

August 11th, 2007 - The Undeadites pay a visit to the PD and promptly eat its entire supply of bacon-bra!nz. Zambahz are seen milling around looking for leftovers.

June 14th, 2007 - SARG raided Groser Crescent PD, a known hideout of Metal Fox member Rhuster. Rhuster, as well as ~7 people, were slaughtered in the madness before they moved on to other targets.

February 8th, 2007 - The zombie group known as the Militant Order of Barhah entered the suburb from the south and hit several buildings, including Groser Crescent PD, killing everyone inside.

August 7th, 2006 - The Last Stand has STRONG reason to believe the Silly Lilly Philly, (or something along those lines) is threatening Pescodside. Our scouts have relayed to me that they are attacking the Dunningwood Warriors, and plan on moving up to Pescodside. WE MUST BE PREPARED!

August 7th, 2006 - There is some increase in zombie activity near Rolt Heights. There is also a noticealbe, but not necasarily large increase of activity near the southern border by Dunningwood. Also, Groser Cresent PD has been overbarricaded. That is a prime place to organize counter offensives, and for lower level surviors to hide. This message relayed to you by Jack Sorrows, co-leader of The Last Stand.

April 16th, 2006 - After several hours of combat Dead Animals, a vicious zombie group, finally overruns the barricades and kills every survivor still left inside the police station. Those survivors that aren't already dead by this point flee for their lives.

February 14th, 2006 - Recent patrol reports show low zombie activity in the immediate area, but some rumors persist that zombies are planning another offensive against Treweeke Mall in Dulston. If those rumors are true... what direction will this zombie horde come from?
