History
The Schonlau Motel is a small older motel in southern Pitneybank. People used to stay at this economy roadside inn when visiting Fort Creedy. "Schonlau" is probably Germanic in origin, and may be the surname of the original owner. Etymologically, the word loosely means 'ready and warm'.
After the outbreak, the Schonlau has become a haven for survivors visiting Pitneybank to enjoy the perennial zombie attacks on the nearby fort and mall. When open, the Schonlau offers a welcome respite for survivors eager for local gossip regarding Fort Creedy to the west, Giddings Mall to the north and the two nearby NT buildings, the Farmer Building and the Morrish Building. Its chief strategic function is to act as an entry point for St. Benedict's Hospital and the Farmer Building to the Schonlau's northwest. It also acts as a temporary haven for survivors fleeing south to the Rowcliffe Building and east to the Veryard Building.
Barricade Policy
The building is an entry point and is to be kept at VSB+2.
