  • Hospitals can be barricaded normally.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals:
    • "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire"
    • "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape."

    • "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards."
    • "...its emergency room in disarray."
    • "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters."
    • "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. "
    • "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes."

Barricade Policy

According to Pitneybank Barricade Plan, this building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. As a hospital it is important that every effort be made to keep an "open door" policy (VS+2 barricades) so that lower level survivors without Free Running skill can find the medical aid they need. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies.

Current Events

January 24, 2014 The lobby is covered with quarantine posters and the building has been completely ransacked, and has fallen into ruin. The doors to the street have been secured with zombies inside. Somebody has spraypainted C%t@ O*d *@01%@ Prohi##ts *a%i@g %ex in *o*p**al@ onto a wall. The graffiti has been obscured by smears of gore. --Wez 05:52, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Historical Events

2020

June 19th, 2020. The hospital is currently in survivor hands. Barricaded to EHB and lit. Mafiamanz (talk) 13:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

2012

July 2nd, 2012: A small RRF striketeam has attacked the Farmer Building next door, probably as part of the attack on Gidding's Mall, no severe casualties. Status of Safe of the Hospital is maintained, no immediate threat to St. Benedict's so far. Cades are at EHB+?, lights are on and most survivors have stocked up on FAK's, just in case. Peralta 12:45, 2 July 2012 (BST)

July 1st, 2012: Zombies are being kept at bay. Several dead bodies outside, about two dozen survivors in the hospital and surrounding buildings. Hospital at EHB, entry point to the north-west. A fueled generator is providing power to the lights. Pitneybank in general pretty quiet, although crossing the street from Giddings' still results in some gnawing near the ankles. Peralta 17:47, 1 July 2012 (BST)

2011

November 22nd, 2011: Most zombies have turned their attention to the nearby Fort Creedy, allowing survivors to recaptured and repaired the hospital. -- Kittithaj 11:07, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

2010

August 17, 2010: Loosely barricaded, 4 zombies inside and 23 zombies outside. --BravoLeader 04:30, 18 August 2010 (BST)

August 11, 2010: There are two zombies outside. --BravoLeader 15:59, 11 August 2010 (BST)

2009

February 13, 2009 The hospital was breached earlier today by a group of about ten zombies. All survivors residing in the hospital were apparently killed. Although it is Friday the 13th, the survivors struck back and retook the building within less than 18 hours. -- Kittithaj 14:04, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

2008

November 20, 2008 Retaken by survivors and barricaded as well as farmer building --Strike243 23:40, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

October 28, 2008 Retaken by the zeds, now ransacked --Strike243 21:53, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

October 27, 2008 Benedict is barricaded to ehb thanks to strike243 (oddly only one zed guarding inside)--Strike243 22:50, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

October 24, 2008 Benedict's is no longer safe. Twenty-some-odd zombies inside, no barricade, still about thirty survivors inside. Bad news for Pitneybank's only hospital.--Wildman curt 01:47, 25 October 2008 (BST)

June 29, 2008 Brought a Generator and fuel a few days ago, radio transmitter is installed too and cades are at EHB - No break in's so far. 06:53, 29 June 2008 (GMT)

April 9, 2008 7 zombies inside, the cades are falling fast even while being repaired.--TMD 02:28, 10 April 2008 (BST)

April 9, 2008 About time for an update. The hospital is holding firm, with 19 zeds outside. The hospital is currently barrided to Very Strongly Barricaded, and the light are on. The generator has plenty of fuel. --Wiiwantxbox 22:14, 9 April 2008 (BST)

March 10, 2008 Hospital is lightly barricaded, 33 zombies outside (I was killed inside the building by a PKer) No lights on inside, further situation unknown--Micah 21:15, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

March 4, 2008 Hospital is Very Heavily Barricaded. 20 Zombies outside and more incoming. Lights not on, inside situation unknown.--Gamma Ray Stanger 18:59, March 4 2008 (GMT +6~)

2007

Dec 13th, 2007 Hospital is Extremely Heavily Barricaded. Fuel is fine. Advisors mention high zombie activity around the hospital, but I can't go check it myself, as there's no way I could go back inside for safety. Someone please corroborate.--Sachiko Kotobuki 15:41, 16 December 2007 (GMT+1 time)

Dec 13th, 2007 Hospital is Very Strongly Barricaded. Fuel is fine. Zombie activity is more or less normal, with only a few scattered groups in the vicinity.--Sachiko Kotobuki 13:01, 13 December 2007 (GMT+1 time)

Oct 15th, 2007 Cades came down for a bit today. Currently barricaded past VS. Fuel is fine.--Marten Kestrel 04:13, 15 October 2007 (BST)

Oct 12th, 2007 Hospital is VSB. Immediate area quiet. Fuel is fine. --Marten Kestrel 07:14, 13 October 2007 (BST)

Sept 19th, 2007 The Hospital is VSB. Fuel is running low.

Aug 17th, 2007 The Hospital is EHB; no zeds outside: make it VSB, please.

June 26th 2007 Bennie's if finally able to be classified as stable. Break-ins occur fairly often, but they are kept under control due to the survivor reinforcements in Farmer and Mumford. -- Carl Wolfhiem 07:11, 26 June 2007 (BST)

June 21, 2007:St. Benedict's is under human control, barely. There are only 4 survivors inside and without reinforcements it is likely to fall again. Update: More survivors have arrived and with the number of zombies in the area dwindling, the hospital appears much safer.

June 16, 2007: St. Benedict's is still wide open, with a clump of zeds milling about outside. Evan Cord 17:15, 16 June 2007 (BST)

May 19, 2007: The silence has been shattered at St. Benedict's as the Undeadites attempt to turn this hospital into a morgue. Bodies litter the hallways as a significant dent is made in the survivor population of this building. ZombieMcAllen

April 26 2007: After a major battle of falling and recapturing building seems to be stable in Survivor hands. No zeds outside, a little zed run off from the Fort, but mostly safe. Generator set up.Carl Wolfhiem

March 18, 2007: Have fought off a band of around 18 zombies over two days of fighting. --Geerts 00:35, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

March 10, 2007: Recaptured by survivor forces. Geerts 16:08, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

March 6, 2007: 17 zeds outside, doors wide open.

February 14, 2007: Alive inside. Many survivors using it as a resting place to make raids at the massive zombie numbers at Creedy. Remains VS+2. Several Zombie break ins. Those who wish to free Creedy are welcome to rest here.

January 9, 2007: We're back! The Aardwolf Rangers have moved in again, and we plan to stay. Bring on the Zeds! Redwave 00:35, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

2006

December 29th 2006: The Aardwolf Rangers made an attempt to grab at the hospital again, and suffered 75% losses in the process. Serious thought is being given to aborting the Aardwolf Country plan, too many have died for almost nothing.

December 13th 2006: This place just got G and RKed by a Shacknews Zombie Spy. We advise all survivors not to waste precious genney's or radios by plunking them down during this crisis, they just won't last long enough to make a difference. We know you won't find as many medkits, but it's a waste of genneys that will be needed to rebuild this area after the storm has passed. Bunker down people, Shacknews is here!

The Aardwolf Rangers

Fades from static... Hello, this is St. Benedict’s. Requesting assistance, we are under attack from a moderate zombie group. Say, 10 to 15 Zeds... static ...correction, say 30 Zeds... static ...They've breached the triage room, teams 3 and 4, sweep the area... static ...I say again 3 and 4... Jamie, Brian get your asse... static ...Their all dead! Fall back to the... *Gunfire, someone screams* ...Mayday... static ... Awwww... (SILENCE)...

Redwave 02:27, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

December 7th 2006: Moderate break in occurred about half an hour ago of about 4-5 Zeds, several survivors were killed or dragged into the streets. Nonetheless we rebounded and are now at EHB again. Kudos to the person who killed Popular Lawyer, one less GKer in the world, one more Zed…Redwave 21:36, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

December 5th 2006: I'm in the hospital, and Zeds rule the streets outside. I couldn't be any happier. I challange all you mall campers, leave that PKing cesspool, and lets put the beat on the Zeds for once! Redwave 15:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

July 8th, 2006: St. Benedict's Hospital has been overrun by Zombies. Survivor casualties were high, but the Zombies are beginning to move on to other areas. Rumors persist of ZKers in the area. 20:48, 8 July 2006 (BST)
