Pre-Outbreak Usage
Like many of the buildings in Scarletwood, St. Spyridon's Hospital is very old and constructed of brick. Its design helped it survive The Fire of Scarletwood in the early 80s. Despite it's archaic construction, St. Spyridon's Hospital was one of the more forward-thinking hospitals in Malton. Not only did it boast cutting-edge medical facilities, but became a center for advanced medical research in southern Malton following an enormous grant by the philanthropist Warren Southall, succeeding in, among other medical miracles, developing a successful gene therapy to combat Graves Disease. Its unique floor plan and peaceful, suburban location make it one of the nicer hospitals in Malton.

St. Spyridons, along with its newer sister hospital, St. Telesphorus's Hospital, have found new life in the post-outbreak world of Malton. Description

St. Spyridon's in better times.

Post-Outbreak Usage

St. Spyridons, along with its newer sister hospital, St. Telesphorus's Hospital, have found new life in the post-outbreak world of Malton. Both remain active despite the catastrophe that has paralyzed Malton, and continue to serve the greater Malton area, providing Medical teams from the Malton's Angels and the Garniss Border Patrol with medical supplies necessary to combat the plague on the city. Both Hospitals are maintained an nearly always powered, the proximity to the headquarters of several southern medical groups means that both are well staffed by some of the best surgeons in the post-outbreak world.

Barricade Policy

In accordance with the Scarletwood Barricade Policy, this site is to be kept at Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB+4). For those with the free running skill, entry is via the Draper Arms. The adjacent St. Telesphorus's Hospital may also be accessible for free-running, but as a hospital is more likely in an emergency to upgrade barricades beyond VSB.

Current Status

25 May 2009 - Slightly under-barricaded at VHB. No generator present. Just a handful present, but includes two surgeons. --Lariat2301 00:49, 26 May 2009 (BST)
