Description
History
Before the outbreak, this fire station was rumoured to be home to rampant corruption, and many thought the firemen of the station were either directly or indirectly responsible for turning the flats to the north into a wasteland following a disastrous fire. Once the quarantine was announced, the fire station was abandoned completely; an ongoing investigation into the station's alleged corruption was abandoned shortly afterward. For the first few months after the fall of Malton the building was largely unused, with its only occupants being a family of ginger cats and the odd survivor every few weeks.
Sometime after the Department Of Emergency Managment recovered this building and assigned two pre-infection firefighters to maintain it and the local area; as of January 2009 the building's firefighters were reassigned to other departments.
However in late February 2009 strange signals began to leave the building. For the first few days people near by began to pick up the occasional voice in a haze of static. Officially on March 1st FFM Radio had begun. Run by FireFighter Mike, he had established this place as his new broadcasting station.
