Description
Club Mold, often referred to as "the Mold" by regulars, was a goth nightclub located in the suburb of Dulston, alongside the border with Rhodenbank. Before the "Malton Incident" the Mold was an alternative music club which opened every Saturday (and New Years Eve) from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 2 or 3 floors that played music genres such as darkwave, EBM, trad goth, gothic rock, futurepop, power noise, synthpop, industrial, and noise.
The club's facilities were rather basic when it was first started in the late 1980s. Over the years the club has been renovated and upgraded to feature all the mod cons of a proper nightclub, however it retains much of its decaying, abandoned feeling, due partly to the architecture and partly the state of disrepair of some facilities. Clubbers who frequented the Mold were split between those who believed the club was named because of the mold on the walls, and those that believed the club was named later to account for all the mold.
The club claimed a membership of around 4,000 people citywide, and had a loyal following of regulars who attended every week. Originally the club had a policy of "bring your own booze", but due to licensing laws the club ended up installing licensed bars. Nowadays though the club is fairly silent as survivors try their best to avoid the attention of wandering zombies.
Barricade Policy
Barricades should be kept at Extremely Heavily at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors. This ruling was set forth by the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram and is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance.
Current Events
August 13th, 2007 - During the weekend starting friday the 24th of August, The Batwing Brigade and the Night Ravers will be rocking Club Mold with our 1337 DJ-ing skillz! Uh, I mean, we will assault your ears and minds with our Spooky, Scary dissonances, yeah. And skulls. --Penny Black 14:14, 13 August 2007 (BST)
March 20th, 2007 - Club Mold is now under new management! The survivor group, Sex Possy, has stepped in to provide much needed tunes to this often deserted club. Now maybe the NE Corner will get back into the spotlight as one of the most groovin' places in Malton. Club Mold is now under the domain of the Sex Possy in accordance with the "All Your Clubs Are Belong To Us" policy.
January 30th, 2007 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. This was actually a special concert as it was the first stop in their new SHAMBLIN' CROONERS APOCALYPSE tour. Dulston survivors heard a lot more angst in the zombie tunes as they sang heavier music including Metal, Grunge, and of course Death Metal.
November 15th, 2006 - Members of DORIS persist in their claims of controlling all Dulston. Taking a page straight from Conquerors 101 DORIS has instigated a policy whereby local buildings and streets throughout the suburb have been renamed by their group, in this case, the club is now known as the Cyberbob Cafe as far as DORIS is concerned.
