Description
A collection of hovels, each more decrepit and squalid than the last. A motley selection of yellow mongrels lounges around on the mud outside, too lazy to bark, bite or wag their tails: either they are dead, zombified, or just a bunch of idle doggies.
History
Laghelegh Drive, formerly known simply as 'Pegton's Erchie', was notorious for the squalor and poverty in which its inhabitants lived. Nonetheless, local boy-made-good, Padraic 'The Mule Whisperer' Laghelegh (after whom the shanty town is now named), showed that it was possible to rise from the dregs of society and become a well-known and respected member of society by owning two mules at the same time - an unprecedented measure of wealth, which at the time made him the richest man in east Pegton.
Opinions differ on how Laghelegh should be pronounced:some say "Lawler", some say "Laggyleg", still others say "Graaaagh!" Whatever you choose, it's best not to linger in this dismal spot as it has always been a good place for catching contagious diseases which cause limbs to turn green, start to smell, and drop off: zombosis is only the most recent.
