A gnome is a mythical creature characterized by its extremely small size and crumpled, almost child-like face. They are often described as two spans high, and very taciturn.
Gnomes bare semblances towards Dwarves and Goblins, particularly in their short stature and affinity to underground living habits. However, there are some key differences, such as the pigment of a Goblin's skin and the stone-like appearance of the Dwarf.
Intelligence, wisdom and agility are some of the more notable attributes of a Gnome. They are not known for being particularly charismatic creatures but are usually quite friendly. Gnomes are well known for their vast knowledge, inventions and their innovative way of thinking.
The exact origins of the Gnome is not known, but there is some speculation that they flew over in space craft, or were the product of a freak mixing of Dwarf and Goblin. Such suspicions are probably false, as the Gnomes weren't believed to have invented space travel until 4864 and Goblin-Dwarf relationships are just preposterous.

When King Gobler, (abbreviated Gob) came to power in the year of 3434, his first action was to appoint a relatively unknown Gnome, called Gnome, to Chief Tinkerer of New New Gnomeroa. This move created an uproar in the Council of Tinkering Gnomes, as Gnome hadn't gone through a Gnomination process. Gob, with his mighty charisma stat of 14, managed to quell the uproar and noted that any further outcries against his judgment would be punishable by mudkip strangulation.
Gnome's status as Chief Tinkerer brought many new changes to the inter, outer and sideways workings of New New Gnomeroa. The creation of the Artisans Guild of Artificially Crafted Crafts led to a revolutionary way of Tinking. The change helped in the making of the first blueprint for a space craft and new technologies like ocular implants that would give Gnomes the ability to spy on mudkipz on faraway planets (such a thing already was possible with advanced telescope technology, but this way was so much cooler and stealthy). He was much praised by his ways of Tinkering and Tinking, and was much adored by his fellow Gnomes.
