Description

Malton Police Department

Lord Boulevard Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Dunningwood alongside the edge of Malton's eastern-most border. It is one of three such police buildings in the suburb. Being the police station that is the farthest east (in fact being a last stop before the no-man's land surrounding Malton), it is an important part of the system that keeps the zombie menace contained within Malton. If the armed forces ever invade Malton in full force (or the zombies ever try to break out in full force), Lord Boulevard PD will no doubt be one of the primary targets in the beginning of the event.

It is somewhat hampered as a defensive position by the fact that there are no nearby hospitals. A survivor looking for medical supplies or treatment has to make a run for either the other side of Dunningwood or north into Pescodside, a potentially lethal trip for people who have been infected. Therefore it is advisable to stock up on first aid kits before making a trip to the LBPD.

Mandate

1) To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid of the precinct.
2) To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
3) To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Very Strongly barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Dunningwood Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.

Historical Events

It should be noted that, for a short time, there was a group set up to defend Lord Boulevard and the surrounding area. However, the aptly named LBPD never really got off the ground. Among the reasons for this is the aforementioned isolation of the Department and generally high-risk nature of the area. The handful of LBPD members would be scattered much of the time, either rushing to get medical supplies or staggering to safer areas to be revived after being completely overrun. This scattering shattered attempts at organization; combined with the low population of the area, and thus a low number of recruits, the first and only Lord Boulevard-based group died out with a whimper after roughly a month of activity.
