#'''Against''' - I support the ''idea'', just not as presented. As others said during discussion, this may work better as a guideline, rather than as a policy. Also, the wording is hazy on whether just ''votes'' or all ''commentary'' must be in English. Do votes that are in English with non-English commentary get struck? {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 21:09, 26 December 2009 (UTC) |

"Official Language" article on Wikipedia: |
Typically a nation's official language will be the one used in that nation's courts, parliament and administration. |
Simple proposal: English (American/British dialects notwithstanding) is the only language to be used on UDWiki:Administration and its subpages. (e.g. A/D/S, where the inspiration for this policy came from.)
Non-English votes (e.g. some of the current ones on A/D/S) are to be struck and remain uncounted in tallies until rectified.
This policy has absolutely no bearing outside of UDWiki:Administration and its subpages, save for official sysop actions, such as deletion log comments and warnings - these must also be in English.
Voting Section
Voting Rules |
Votes must be numbered, signed, and timestamped. They can take one of two forms:
Votes that do not conform to the above will be struck by a sysop. |
The only valid voting sections are For and Against. If you wish to abstain from voting, do not vote. |

Against
TegenAgainst! Man, leave it as it was, there is no harm done, and wherever it is done, A/VB can handle it. Also until this passes, zal ik nog graag mij uitte in mijn moedertaal zolang het nog kan. Jullie zeurpieten kunnen me wat, en die Doos al helemaal. Oh ja, Eerste.--Thadeous Oakley 20:31, 26 December 2009 (UTC)- Against - Only the bolded vote should conform to a standard. - Against - I support the idea, just not as presented. As others said during discussion, this may work better as a guideline, rather than as a policy. Also, the wording is hazy on whether just votes or all commentary must be in English. Do votes that are in English with non-English commentary get struck? —Aichon— 21:09, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
