Announcement: I'm no longer active. My talk page is still your best bet to get in touch. —Aichon— 04:39, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Stuff in User:Aichon/Other
- Writing:
- So you want to be a sysop? - A detailed guide to the unwritten rules of becoming a sysop.
- Fighting the AP War - A strategic look at how AP is being used, and an evaluation of various actions. Take it all with a grain of salt, since it's unfinished and there are errors in it.
- Iscariot's Vandal Data - A collection of my research into Iscariot's vandal data's history and my conclusion based on it.
- Suggestions:
- Verbose Barricades - Didn't seem to garner much support, unfortunately, so abandoned.
- Alt Proximity Warning - The DS version of a suggestion that was eventually peer-reviewed.
- Password Change Option - A suggestion that was thought to be a dupe at the time and abandoned.
Random links
- Special:Prefixindex/User:Aichon - For me when I misplace something
- Help:The NOT so secret diary of a sysop - For newly-minted sysops
- MediaWiki:Usernameblacklist - For spam-fighting sysops
- Category:Administration Templates - For...I dunno
Idle time projects and other things to do when I'm bored
- Help:Template messages
- Looks like an interesting read. Should really get around to reading it at some point
- Sysop Archives
- While sysop: A lot of the archives still need moving/creating. Quite a way to go still.
- Vandal Data
- While sysop: Working on linkifying all of the data slowly. Still have a load to go.

Since I was getting more of these than I could comfortably display on my main page, I've moved them here instead.

Technology
This is just a list of the stuff I use for my personal desktop setup. If you're curious how I like any of them, feel free to ask on my talk page. In most cases, I like them quite a bit and carefully selected them after WAY too many hours of research.
Computer: Mid-2011 2.7GHz i7 Mac mini with a dedicated GPU, upgraded afterwards with 8GB RAM and a 1TB Fusion Drive running OS X 10.11 El Capitan (and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit)
Monitors: Dual Dell S2409WFP 24" monitors on a DoubleSight DS-224STA VESA mount
Keyboard: Filco Ninja Majestouch-2 FKBN104M/EFB2 (Cherry MX Brown)
Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution
Speakers: Swans M200 MkIII
Router: 1TB Apple Time Capsule
Browser: Apple Safari on OS X and Google Chrome on Windows
Mobile Devices: 32GB Space Gray iPhone 5s and a 64GB Space Gray iPad Air 2
Hobbies
Backloggery.com: I play games. That's a link to pretty much everything I do that's related to gaming. It has lists of all the games I own, what I think of each of them, what systems I own, what my Steam/Xbox Live/PSN/etc. usernames are, and a whole lot more. Do yourself a favor and sign up there, since the community and site are awesome.
MyAnimeList.net: I used to watch a lot of anime. These days, I don't watch as much, but here's a link to everything I've seen.
I dabble in coding on the side for fun. Check my userscripts for some examples of coding I've done for fun within the scope of UD.
Given the above hobbies, it should come as no surprise that I don't see the sun very often, but when I do get outside, I like to play disc golf. I have my own discs, I can hold my own with most of the folks around here, but I'm against calling myself an intermediate. More like an advanced beginner. I have a long way to go.
I also like to argue on the Internet (though not here) for fun, and there are a few sites I go to where you can get some good debates going over technology or science. These days I go by Aichon or Aichonic pretty much everywhere, but I used to go by Anubis IV and Orison, so if you see either of those, wave and say "hi", since it's probably me on an old account somewhere.
Personal Templates
These are all personal use templates my userspace relies on. You are strongly advised NOT to include these templates in your own pages since they could change at any time and break your pages. Nonetheless, I list them here so that I have easy access to them later in case I need to have a quick reference.
Colors
- basecolor - The default color used for unspecified suburbs on the various maps my characters use
- currcolor - The color used to indicate the suburb my character is currently visiting on the various maps my characters use
- NVRcolor - The color used to indicate unvisited suburbs on the various maps my characters use
- pastcolor - The color used to indicate the suburbs my character has previously visited on the various maps my characters use
- threat1color - The color used to indicate the lowest threat level on my kill heat map
- threat2color - A color used to indicate an in-between threat level on my kill heat map
- threat3color - A color used to indicate an in-between threat level on my kill heat map
- threat4color - A color used to indicate an in-between threat level on my kill heat map
- threat5color - A color used to indicate an in-between threat level on my kill heat map

- Visited Locations (Doug Collins) - Where Doug Collins has visited; can be stylized via a style template
Logic/Utility
- intToString - Converts a number between 0 and 999,999 into text (e.g. "123" becomes "one hundred twenty-three")
