History
The Schonlau Motel is small older motel in southern Pitneybank. People used to stay at this economy roadside inn when visiting Fort Creedy. "Schonlau" is probably Germanic in origin, and may be the surname of the original owner. Etymologically, the word loosely means 'ready and warm.'
After the outbreak, the Schonlau has become a haven for survivors visiting Pitneybank to enjoy the perennial zombie attacks on the nearby fort and mall. When open, the Schonlau offers a welcome respite for survivors eager for local gossip regarding Fort Creedy to the west, Giddings Mall to the north and the two nearby NT buildings, the Farmer Building and the Morrish Building.

The Schonlau is open and has vacancies, is barricaded up to VSB+2, and has a fueled generator and a radio transmitter. All is well, for the time being.--Buddy K 03:58, 13 August 2008 (BST)
Survivors in the area are having much success rebuilding Fort Creedy and the local hospitals and NT buildings, as well as Giddings Mall, it is rumored. Thanks to the kind efforts of dedicated survivors, the Schonlau has both a living caretaker and a generator, and now is only lacking fuel and a radio transmitter to be back up to snuff.--Buddy K 23:10, 11 August 2008 (BST)
The Schonlau is barricaded up to code, but is still without power.--Buddy K 19:33, 11 August 2008 (BST)

Zombies have destroyed the barricades and killed several motel guests. --Buddy K 18:17, 19 July 2008 (BST)
The motel is dark, and lacks a Portable Generator, Fuel, and a Radio Transmitter. Zombies roam the outside streets after the recent fall of Fort Creedy and Giddings Mall, both of which are still dark. Lights out in nearby St. Benedict's hospital, so FAKs in short supply. The Farmer Building's (NT) lights are out. The Morrish Building's (NT) lights are on with less than 10 zombies outside it, as of 9 a.m. CST. About 50 zombies are gathered at the revive point at Walrond Square. Yesterday I heard there we some rotters messing up the revive cue. Lots of conflicting chatter on the radio. --Buddy K 18:29, 19 July 2008 (BST)
