Certain Items and Survivor Skills are usable by and useful for Zombies.
Items
Items are found by searching, which can only be performed as a Survivor, and every character has an inventory with which to carry items. No item except for certain melee weapons can be used directly by zombies, but some have a use despite this.
Assorted/Misc Items
- Beer - No effect
- Book - No effect
- Crucifix - No effect
- Newspaper - No effect
- Poetry Book - No effect
- Spray Can - No effect
- Wine - No effect
- Wirecutters - No effect
Melee Weapons
- Crowbar - Usable - (5%, 2 dam) - Inferior to claws even on barricades, since the Hand-toHand Combat bonus is lost.
- Baseball Bat - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks
- Length of Pipe - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks
- Knife - No effect
- Fire Axe - No effect
- Cricket Bat - Usable - (10%, 3 dam) - Same for attacking as unlevelled headbutt attacks
- Fencing Foil - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks
- Golf Club - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks
- Hockey Stick - Usable - (10%, 3 dam) - Same for attacking as unlevelled headbutt attacks
- Pool Cue - Usable - (25%, 2 dam) - Same for attacking as unlevelled claw attacks - may break when used
- Ski Pole - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks
- Tennis Racket - Usable - (10%, 2 dam) - Worse for attacking than standard zombie attacks

- Pistol - No effect
- Shotgun - No effect

- DNA Extractor - No effect
- First Aid Kit - Not usable by zombies, but usable on zombies.
- Flak Jacket - Usable - Reduces damage received from firearms attacks by 20%
- Flare Gun - No effect
- Fuel Can - No effect
- GPS Unit - No effect - Doesn't display co-ordinates while dead
- Mobile Phone - Usable - When a zombie if a message is received your phone will beep but you won't be told who you received it from - You can't use it to send or receive messages either
- NecroTech Revivification Syringe - No effect
- Portable Generator - No effect
- Radio - Usable - Radio broadcasts of the tuned frequency are received - They can't be tuned though
- Radio Transmitter - No effect
Decorative Items
- Museum Pieces - No effect
- Christmas Lights - No effect

Skills
Aside from the obvious Zombie Skills, certain skills can be used by zombies. These survivor skills can be bought in the usual way, but only when alive.
