Hectic days, these. I did get into Penny Heights, chasing the RRF. Then I got chased by the RRF, repeatedly, which involved a couple close escapes. I met a grumpy guy, fireman, bit run down. Real nice, actually, the kind who actually cares for people. He has a brain, too, and is not afraid to use it. We sort of clicked, and teamed up. We got to discuss philosophy with a Philosophe Knight, I learned to work the shotgun while killing my first zombie - didn't like that very well, though, I was shaking like a little girl the rest of the night. We tried to find help for rebuilding Penny Heights, but there was no one left in the suburb. The only ones to answer were DK13, to shun us, basically. Then Lumber Mall was retaken, just as we were moving out of the suburb in defeat. We're now stationed there, reviving and such.

It looks like the mall has been retaken for good. We are safe. Even the PK'ers are starting to crawl out of the woodwork.

And you know what?

I'm deathly bored.

So I'm making my way through Osmondville. I enter this place, see a handful of survivors inside. There's a rugged fireman in a corner; he doesn't move, barely breathes. He's hanging on to life with 1 HP, and what looks very much like severe sepsis by systemic infection. And there's another kid over there with 7 HP. I only have three FAKs left.

Yeah, I spent them on the two blokes. I had to, I couldn't just leave them there! The fireman was treated first, of course. Penetrating trauma all over his body, and sure enough, a really ugly infection. Patched him up, gave him a monster dose of Cipro that would probably get my licence revoked had we still have any sort of medical establishment. His kidneys will hate me, but he probably will be walking tonight. I couldn't stay to cheer him up, though. In fact I didn't even speak to him, so worried I was -- I must find a hospital soon, and there's nothing close! I'll try my luck tomorrow in Houldenbank or Pennville.

But I hope he remembers me, he was kind of cute. Noo that was not the point of healing him! Bloody hell, I'm not that much of a floozy haha. Still, wouldn't mind a quiet chat in a pub, big man, if I ever see you again. I hope you're feeling better.

The emergency is over here in Gulsonside. Moving on towards Penny Heights... it seems I'm chasing the RRF hehe.

Random thought: what a ghastly infestation of murderers this town has, don't you think? I wonder what is it about this situation that turns people into psychopaths. Some years ago, from the comfort of my practice in a civilized city, I probably would have said it'd be the horror of the walking dead that finally would get to your head, and something would snap in there. But now I'm not too sure. In fact, I'm starting to think it's because life is too easy in post-apocalyptic Malton.

No, really! I mean, it's a hard life, yes, what with having to barricade before sleeping, being trapped with the zombies and all that. But here's the thing: there's nothing else to do other than survive; no work, no society, no law, no nothing. And surviving isn't that hard, once you get the knack of it. And even if you cock it up, you can't actually die, now can you? So you adapt, then become bored, then become mad. And given that many of us were arseholes to begin with, well, there you have your typical psychopathic PKer.

Oh well. Pointless rant, I know. If I ever meet one of them, with time to chat before one of us kill the other, I will ask. But right now I have to go out and stock up on supplies.

Thursday 22nd

I decided to relocate near Gulsonside. The RRF is laying waste to the suburb, revive queues are in the double digits there. Help is needed.

So today I took a walk through Wray Heights. Nice. Very quiet, very peaceful... at least on the outside, because the whole place is barricaded to death! I ran out of AP looking for a place to enter; spent a full hour outside, like a hopeless newbie. And I did look at the barricade plan, mind, the thingy where it says that building is VSB, only when you get there you find it bloody well shut and barred, and you're left to peep at the cozy lights inside, in the charming company of a swaying zombie. Really, I'm not making that up: I had to rest a bit outside with a zombie.

Nothing happened, though: my chartreuse-skinned road companion was minding his own business, and I was just too happy to show consideration towards his individuality.

That should teach me to have a fallback destination. Or to not travel far when knackered. But I already knew that, it's just that I was getting dreadfully bored in Tapton.

Sunday 18th

Sigh. I'm staying alone in a dark motel in what seems like an empty suburb, away from the parts of town I already know. I have seen only two survivors since yesterday -- one of them an obvious murderer that's likely staying five blocks away from me. I'm exhausted, yet I have this feeling I will be killed in my sleep. It's probably just the recent bad patch with the PK'er, but I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. I might as well rummage the kitchen for some tea.

I revived someone for the first time today. It's quite the experience, what with the hissing after the jab, and the shivers and all. That's what I'm doing here: field reviving. It's a long story. I need a mobile phone! I really wanted to send ZIPO a note, that his effort already had been paid forward!

Anyroad... once I'm through with my supply of syringes, I'll likely head back to K-bank, see if I can kick me some PK'er arse. Then who knows? Maybe I'll head North. Call me a little girl, but I want to see the Zoo.

Wednesday 14th

PK'ed, bollocks.

I won't make a fuss over it. I did provoke the ugly git.

There's this geezer, see, PK'er, GK'er, total wanker. Watched him do his thing twice, right in front of me. And then one day I enter this building, middle of nowhere, and lo, there's the man, holed up, catching a nap. So I run a quick check, find out there's a bounty on him... long story short, I kinda shot him in the arse.

But I didn't kill him.

But I would had.

Ah well. I'll take care of this myself. And next time, luv, I will not bungle the job. XOXO
