Description
Generally covered in graffiti, and widely recognized to be the hippest junkyard in the city.
History
Before the outbreak, this junkyard was home to a number of squatters who built a makeshift village in it, Among these squatters were a number of freegans, anti-consumerists, anarchists, and counterculture elements.. These squatters were often evicted by police stationed at Oram Walk, but generally found a way to return to the junkyard. The place was occasionally used as a meeting place for activists, a performance place for the extreme underground music scene, and as a graffiti exhibition place.
