Houlet Lane
Description
Houlet Lane is a Revive Point in northwestern Gibsonton. It is so named in the early days of Malton because of the barn owl family that lived in the loft of the workhouse to the north of the lane. This workhouse was eventually torn down to make room for the factory that preceded the factory that now occupies the space. Because of inconsistencies in spelling at the time, the word 'Howlet' was spelt 'Houlet'.
