Jeremiah Learoyd is a Police Constable with the Crew Avenue Police Department who is currently walking a beat in Crooketon.

Learoyd originally came to the area as a corporal with the Royal Generic Fusiliers at Fort Creedy. While there, he trained in firearms, hand-to-hand combat, and construction. Unfortunately, for all of their discipline and equipment, the troops at Creedy could not hold against the zombie horde once the Malton Incident began.

His unit's cohesion disintegrated. Infected, Learoyd fled Fort Creedy, making his way through the city building-to-building, when he could, and limping his way through ruins when he could not.

He eagerly joined the first civilized group he came across: the Crew Avenue Police Department. There, he eagerly traded his blood-flecked army MTP uniform for that of a "Crew Av" police constable..

A cartoon centipede reads books and types on a laptop.
PC Learoyd takes out a zombie with a candlestick.

On his police stab vest, he wears a Velcro badge identifying him as "PC Howie" (the vest's former owner) and shoulder boards which display his Divisional call sign and Shoulder Number. Atop his head is a policeman's peaked cap with its distinctive black-and-white diced cap-band.

Due to the scarcity of ammunition, his primary weapon is a firefighter's axe; however, he also carries a police-issue Model 17 Glock and an old double-barrel pheasant gun.

Since signing up with the CAPD, he has learned to use DNA Extractors and Revivification Syringes, and, when not fighting zombies and lawless survivors, he frequently can be found rummaging through the ruins of old NecroTech buildings.

He has a particular enmity for March_into_the_sea after having been identified for sacrifice by one of its members (Lee Duala). He has sworn to "see the lot of them behind bars."
