20070622 Handy Medic

Suggestion description
My suggestion is for a skill higher than surgery for doctors. This skill would allow doctors to heal without using a med-kit. They would heal 3 HP for 1 AP or the 5 HP for 2 or 3 AP. This would make it easier for higher ranking doctors to heal without the hassle of searching for med-kits, sometimes using 10 AP only to find 1 med-kit.

Kill Votes
- Kill -- Maybe a "Field Surgery" skill to improve field care, but you can't bandage a wound without bandages. -- Firemanrik 01:13, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill -- I don't see how this fits in Spam, yet there are many votes in that section. But I'm sorry, Firemanrik is right. You can't bandage without a bandage. ~m T! 04:51, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Change Make this only available in Powered hospitals, and only up to 5 HP healed and I might think about it.--Seventythree 11:39, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill I like the idea of another Science skill, especially for Doctors, but free FAKS is not it. I suppose you could have a weak thing such as "Field Surgery" where you could use surgery in any powered building, but that to is open to abuse. Unsigned vote. --T 23:36, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I don't see how the doctors would heal someone w/o a med kit. --T 23:36, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - This would almost render FAKs useless and besides, doctors can't just heal people with supplies. --Sonofagun18 07:38, 25 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Overpowers medics -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 09:00, 25 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - FAKs are plentiful anyway.-- Vista +1 20:24, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Nuh uh. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:59, 4 July 2007 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - Now, how would they get all the sanitized medical equipment needed to heal? Or do they have magical healing powers like in the Final Fantasy games?-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 23:02, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Hey, don't criticise Yuna - she was awesome, except she's nto in this game. This is unrealistic and unessecary as well.. (@#$% u suicidalangel, you beat me to the 1st vbote AGAIN!!) >=-( --Bruce Torbaron 23:22, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Really, take a look at the game stats and then tell us all that survivors are in need of a mega-buff. --The Hierophant 00:05, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Uhh...No. What would be the point of Infectious bite if you can heal it for 1 AP anywhere? --User:Axe27/Sig 01:06, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Too much of an AP advantage, searching makes med kits take more than 1 AP to have/use.--karek 09:14, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Free heal? Bad! Also, searching for FAKs with shopping and bargain hunting in Drug Store of powered mall has a much better opportunities than 10% that you stated --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 09:17, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Because the idea is completely ridiculous. armareum 18:26, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam -Am I the ONLY one to realise the advantage this would give vet doctors (veteran, not veterenarian...) over ALL the other classes? heck no. --AlexanderRM 22:33, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Uncle Bill jumps on the Spam Wagon. I could *kind of* see this in a hospital (because there are supplies there) but what's the point? Is there any (powered) hospital in Malton with so many wounded people inside that the doctors can't find enough FAKs to keep up? --Uncle Bill 02:42, 26 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Great to humans, very bad to zombies. It's not balanced at all! --JudeMaverick Talk +1 Jobs 02:29, 30 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Or how about a skill that allowed soldiers to fire pistols without ammo? Do not remove the search-aspect. - BzAli 22:08, 1 July 2007 (BST)
