Plans for the Mall
With the mall in zed hands things look grim, and a few of you seem keen on retaking the jewel of Havercroft. I present to you Operation Gutter Runner, a strike at the mall, a plan to take it back, nurse it back to health and provide a permanent guard to hold off any "unwanted" shoppers. Since i'm fairly new this plan needs a proper leader, someone with experience and the tactical genius to get it done. Whoever takes that position the Rangers Of The Anastari are yours to command. The Omnissiah
Congrats
By the gods, I thought you guys would never get the darn thing back. I look forward to retaking it. ^_^ --Shatari 21:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
May 26 Siege, WTF
Okay who's the smartass who added the blood? I didn't waste 12 AP cleaning it up for it to end up on the wiki! That and how did we just let it fall in 11 hours, I had viable info on zombie positions TWO DAYS before any major zeds arrived?!? When I told AMS and CC they completely ignored defending there home!!! WHAT THE F*CK!!
Recent Events and Page Locked
We recently had a large noteworthy attack on the mall that I wanted to record on the wiki but unfortunately I have found it locked. Is there anyone who can add it or unlock this page? --Karec 20:52, 12 August 2008 (BST)
Battle size
How big was zombie and survivor forces? Leon Clinton 20:41, 10 June 2008 (BST)
- Do you mean for just for the mall itself? If so, I think it was something like 150-170 survivors eaten. There ended up being at least 100 zombies inside the mall, possibly as much as 120, including any feral population we drew in. - Brona 13:32, 11 June 2008 (BST)
Recent Vandalism
"Hypno", if you plan to vandalize the AMS information section of this article, don't continue. This information is relevant to the mall, and I don't want to have to get a sysop involved. With much appreciation. -- Russell Oakley 05:04, 9 June 2008 (BST)
==I agree that the fact that AMS doesn't actually provide security for the Ackland Mall is relevant to the Ackland Mall. I guess I didn't see the original irony of the current statement.
The fact that we've not only been present and active in every siege in the HISTORY of this mall/suburb should speak for itself. Not only that, but we've constantly been recruiting in the area, maintaining the active revive points along with dedicated members of the Crimson Clan, and DEM. If you want to act all billy badass/I hate authority/stick it to the man, feel free. But we've been here longer than you, and I don't doubt that the denizens of Havercroft will agree that our small bits of information on the wiki are completely relevant. No more vandalism. Have a nice day. :D --Russell Oakley 03:04, 13 June 2008 (BST)
the mall in zombie hands meens there are more zombies than humans ransacked meens that the mall is ruined tomer 7:01am, 4 march 2008 (GMT)
If any of the attackers of Ackland Mall comes here, be so kind and drop a notice so attackers and defenders can start exchanging niceties ;-) --Xeeron 14:20, 14 Jan 2006 (GMT)
I am one, been revived a couple of times and switched sides as a result, though, so by the time someone reads this I may be back to being human. However, I'm a feral, not part of any org, so it's not a huge surprise to me that the mall's held out. There's no organization at all attacking, none, it's totally random logging in and whacking at barricades. All feral. All. Actually that's a little scary on its own, huh? Because you never know when a bunch of them might just sort of randomly log in. The place's been cracked multiple times over the last few days, but only a few have made it in, it's like rolling a die over and over and never getting a 1...anyway, enjoy! -- Capeman
Attacker here! Kudos to the excellent defense provided by the tasty tidbits inside the Mall! Very organized, good tactics (barricade, then heal, then kill zeds inside). One of the cool things I like is the survivors that venture outside always have something neat to say. My favorite was the message from Mall Security - "Shoo, shoo!". Back to eating brains now! --Meat Puddle 13:24, 25 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Me again. I also love the spirit of the doomed souls over here. Seven of us break in on five survivors. We eat one right off. I log back in later, and one of the survivors had spoke. "Build the barricades back up and trap the zombies in here!" LOL! 7 of us, 4 of them, and they have US trapped. Gotta admire that. --Meat Puddle 15:39, 25 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Caiger inspired us all. MaulMachine 15:45, 25 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Could you please post your entry points so those of us from Caiger don't waste AP entering the mall? I took the liberty of adding a couple to the new siege entry for now, but it's a bit messy and probably belongs someplace else. Thanks. --einexile 01:52, 9 April 2006 (BST)
Ackland is officially dead. Currently 150 zeds in there. I had great fun ripping holes in the mall and the final payoff rocked. Kudos to the defenders for keeping the faith for so long. Somebody has spraypainted Ackland Mall - Now known as Ackland Abbatoir onto a wall. - Crook Neck 15:58, 15 April 2006 (BST)
Got killed and now i'm wondering, where is the revive point nearest Ackland? - HamsterNinja 22:41, 26 May 2006 (BST)
- If you're not back yet, your best bet is St. Isidore's Church, near Caiger Mall. --Ron Burgundy 23:23, 2 June 2006 (BST)
Wow the Mall wouldnt have Fallen so easily if people would actually revive the dead instead of cowaring with fear in the mall. It is gonna be a bitch to take the mall back --Smithy Jones
Oh nevermind, I missed the date on that entry up near the top. Anyway, LUE won't be looking to hold this place for the long term. We'll be moving out within the week to find other malls to ransack. - Brona
- I dunno, if you could finish off Brennand to the East and clear the surround area like you did Caiger, the Abattoir would be greatly appreciative...heh. Docmortand 01:04, 21 August 2007 (BST)
- History repeats itself, but the conversation of Brona and Smithy Jones you're responding to took place nearly two months ago. Plus, although we were the main architects of Caiger's destruction, LUE can't get the credit for the absolute devastation other hordes and feral wreaked on the rest of the suburb.--Insomniac By Choice 01:17, 21 August 2007 (BST)
- Hey, I ain't complaining, and it's about time they updated this page anyways, even if it is cycles repeating themselves.Docmortand 06:40, 21 August 2007 (BST)

Designated Entry Points
I'm currently near the Mall, but did not take part in the recent fight. Congrats, survivors! My preference is for three entry points:
- St Blaise's Church [31, 46]
- Maria General Hospital [35, 46]
- Ephrem General Hospital [33, 42]
(with the cemetery at [31, 47] being a revive point) --Foobarosa 01:31, 17 June 2006 (BST)
news from ackland mall
at the moment, a 1 person news team is broadcasting from the mall on 29.00
expect the location to change
northeast corner
while my group is stationed there, i wnat you not to put over my spray's with a fuckign join AMS. cna u plz do that until im gone...--cody6 21:28, 30 September 2006 (BST)
think before you Flame, I am tempted to deleted this thread because of you Outright flaming my group, I have somebody in Ackland mall recruiting for me seeing as I am in Greater Blackmore. The guy doing the spraying has told me the tag changes everyday from DEM Tags, to Blackmore Tags, to Ori Tags and MF tags. Well I am sorry if your tags get sprayed over, SHit happens, I want people to join my group as well not toomention Ron Burgandy wants people to come to greater Blackmore so us Survivbors can win Ridlybank. Look Tags are gonna change constantly in a mall. Seeing as the NE corner has the Phone Mast that is my Base of Ops when I am at Ackland Mall. so when ever I am in Ackland Mall the radio Frequency is gonna be 27.50 in the NE corner and there is gonna be an AMS tag on the wall. anyways just quit your bitching the respray the tag. it is not that hard to find a spray can in a mall - Smithy Jones
then all i request is that u try to keep it on 29.00 until i am ready to leave, i am not ready to cross okver back to penny heights and fight for its green status
Sorry if i cam off a little hard but you did flame me and my group.
I will tell my guy to leave your tag in the NE corner alone but if somebody else has sprayed over your tag only then will there be an AMS tag. 29.00 is fine for now, also it take a while to get people especially if yours is a new group. As for getting people, Put your group on the recruitment page of the WIKI. also broadcast recruitment statments over the radio once a day as to make sure your message is getting out there but not pissing people off by spaming the airwaves. take as long as you like in the mall - Smithy Jones
ron has advised me not to use that 1, ihe said it gets few hits--cody6 18:39, 1 October 2006 (BST)
From history 2006
I think we should try to keep instructions on the discussion page, not the history page...this has been moved here:
- October 17th Attention: All humans in Havercroft. The traditional tactics of sieges are no longer successful. With the introductions of feeding drag, ransack, and the group "Shacknews", holing up in any major structure is a useless tactic. Survivors must not spread out, because with the coordination of Shacknews, and the skills present in feeding drag and ransack, in addition to losing one corner almost guaranteeing the mall's fall, Shacknews members all log in at one time to attack. They wait in buildings near the target to charge their AP. Then, all at once they attack the building and break in. This was the only reason the Blackmore Building fell. I am a Blackmore Bastard, and yes; we did get devoured. But it was because of the Shacknews Horde. Survivors should now SPREAD OUT wherever Shacknews is, and launch guerilla warfare tactics upon them. Attack and kill a few zombies, then retreat back into hiding. Most Shacknews members lack Ankle Grab, so take full advantage of headshot. If you are an Ackland defender, you know very well who you can contact for better tactical instructions than on this VERY public page. ~Master Hammond2, Blackmore Bastard and Channel 4 News Team members

Phone Mast status report
If you time, can we get you to update http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Mobile_Phone_Mast#Locations with the current status of your local phone mast? Thanks. Asheets 20:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
History Pages?
I think we should consider sub-pages for the prior year's histories, and maybe condense them into paragraph or two format for those not wanting to delve the daily goings-on. Daniel Hicken 23:29, 3 April 2007 (BST)
- I've thought about creating an archive page, just never done it. Good idea. -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 05:38, 4 April 2007 (BST)
To Tarumigan
I was going to play as a completely pro survivor. I really was: but really, do you honestly think I'm going to let you off with what you did? really, shooting that AMS officer really did it. expect more lead in your blood within the next few days. Cheery-O. --Ayumi 03:18, 15 September 2007 (BST)
THE DEAD ARE COMING
THE DEAD ARE COMING
Addition of mini-Danger Report for mast status
So, we've been hard at work over at the Mobile Phone Mast page this last week, implementing a new system to use danger report pages to track the status of mobile-phone mast buildings. It's been a success with a new status map of service in Malton, and a new template for the location pages themselves (still being implemented on the pages, you can check them out at the MPM-IC). However, since the MPM for Havercroft is a special case, being in the northeast corner of the mall here, it's required special treatment all throughout the process. In the case of the Danger Report to be displayed on this page, I've created a location-specific template, showing the mast-status image, and a very small area which indicates that it refers to the NE portion of the mall, with the coordinates, and a couple of mast-specific links. I've placed this at the top of the page, next to the danger report for the mall itself. However, if this is found to be an undesirable position for the mast-status report, please be open to finding a better placement for this new element. --Morgan Blair 19:21, 1 June 2008 (BST)

---AMS would like to thank the Malton Bounty Emu Killers for declaring "war" upon us in the midst of such a lovely siege. They seem to have less than ten folks, and are apparently trying to...Actually, we don't know. Aside from acting upon immature urges not seen since scene kids discovered eyeshadow, they apparently have allied with Mostly Harmless. The two PK'er groups shout out worn out jokes, kill folks, and while they claim their war is with AMS, and the majority of their kills ARE against AMS, they have reportedly attacked Axes High, the Crimson Clan, and /zom/, and all four groups have been tirelessly working to preserve Ackland's integrity. In their glorious "history", the only legitimate thing the M-BEK can quote is some Ackland Liberation/Band Camp wiki article that serves to equate to nothing more than a huge pile of horribly written, self-serving role-playing.
In short, thank you M-BEK for making yourselves look like tools. Ciao~ —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RedPuppy (talk • contribs) at an unknown time.
- About time this POV nonsense was moved off the mainpage, thanks AHLG. I do always love a sockpuppet nick though. And thanks for giving us PKers attention, you know how much we thrive on it. Plus, hey, free publicity. You're doing our propaganda work for us! ;] --ZiPMH+LUE 23:08, 12 August 2008 (BST)
