When a human is killed, do they lose xp?

Players cannot lose experience points. Headshot originaly would reduce the xp of a zombie. This is nolonger the case and it is currently impossible to lose experience. --Shagie 03:13, 30 Jan 2006 (GMT)

team kills

Is the 10 XP kill bonus also halved for team-on-team kills? I'm too nice to know this sort of thing! Morlock

I'm 90% sure you always get the full 10 XP.--Milo 06:26, 12 Sep 2005 (BST)

I just got the full 10 XP for a zombie-on-zombie kill. Can't speak for the survivor side. For the record, the other guy ZKed first (several times actually). I was just returning the favor.--Mister Nathan Marbles 21:16, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

"reading a book has a 10% chance of giving 1 XP through studying"

Are books one-shot items, or can you keep reading the same book over and over, each time with a 10% chance to gain XP? Dossy

Every time you read, there's some chance of finishing that book, and it gets discarded from your inventory. But if you don't it's available to be read again. I think that info should probably go on the items page rather than here though. Morlock 02:19, 9 Sep 2005 (BST)

Repeating information

The same thing is said twice here. It should be reduced somewhat -Daranz 04:15, 9 Sep 2005 (BST)

Which bit, precisely? (I am verbose at times, but I don't see any repetition here.) Or do you mean it's duplicated elsewhere in the wiki? Morlock 11:45, 9 Sep 2005 (BST)

It was removed already (not by me). See [1] --Daranz 13:52, 9 Sep 2005 (BST)

Oh, so someone did fold in drakkenmaw's thing after all. I see now. Morlock 14:28, 9 Sep 2005 (BST)

Tagging bonus

With the tagging skill, can you get the xp bonus multiple times for tagging a building more than once (i.e. you walk up to a police station with a full can and tag it 6 times, do you get 12 xp)? --Bioweapon 03:07, 30 Jan 2006

I'm reasonably sure that you can tag the same building for xp, however, if you tag over a tag that you sprayed, you only get the "You improve your work" message, and no xp. Theoretically, if two people stood outside the PD and took turns, they could do as you're suggesting. But alone, I'm pretty sure that's a no.--Craer 19:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Faster Way of earning XP

Which way is faster? Healing or Combat?

Yes.--Craer 20:00, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Healing by far. This goes for anyone. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 14:50, 15 September 2007 (BST)

Skills on Death

If a survivor has certian skills and zomb-a-fies, then goes on to learn zombie skills.... and then revives, do they have all there people skills they used to have? Cadinsor 09:00, 5 September 2006 (BST)

Yes. All skills are persistent. There is no way to lose skills. Some skills even carry across survivor/zombie barriers. (Bodybuilding improves the HP of both zombies and survivors, for example) however, zombified survivors can't use most survivor skills (Shooting, barricading, reviving, healing, etc) and revivified zombies can't use most zombie skills (bites, scent death, claws, etc) --Craer 19:59, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Ruin (survivors)

"Ruin (survivors) - Ruining a building does not give XP." I thought that survivors couldn't ruin buildings...--Normal PhobicC 13:35, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

tips

i need help as a survivor it seems hard to win xp when im a survivor but as a zombie i win it easly i need some tips for how to gain xp on survivor mode (i keep reading a book but he never learns somthig new) -Jose...

Healing and reviving are the fastest way. From there, I'd say combat. Join a group to. It will help. -Poodle of DoomM! Fear is only as deep as the mind will allow it be.T 19:47, 18 April 2010 (BST)
The good old punch-heal grind tends to work. From there, free running and diagnosis are key skills to pick up early. Nothing to be done! 19:54, 18 April 2010 (BST)

pfft who plays as a survivor these days.--Dirty 19:57, 18 April 2010 (BST)

64% of the players? Infrastructure 19:58, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Actually, I beg to differ,... I think 64% of players are to stupid to stay dead... -Poodle of DoomM! Fear is only as deep as the mind will allow it be.T 20:00, 18 April 2010 (BST)
what % of 64 are the pkrs,gkrs,zergers,deathcultist?--Dirty 20:04, 18 April 2010 (BST)
What do that have to do with anything? Infrastructure 20:06, 18 April 2010 (BST)
I asked who plays survivor, you gave me the stats page that does not take into account people who use the survivor class but for other purposes. anyone worth their grain of salt on the wiki knows that %64 is a misleading number.--Dirty 20:09, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Since when is there a survivor class? Infrastructure 20:12, 18 April 2010 (BST)
You know what i mean :) don't play that game.--Dirty 20:14, 18 April 2010 (BST)
1. Then what are you here for? 2. Actually, I don't have a bloody clue. Infrastructure 20:15, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Here to defend my very first comment because it is truth. and this might help you understand what a survivor class is. :)--Dirty 20:20, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Let's see.. Under the class area, I see four subgroups and nine classes. None of them is called survivor. Infrastructure 20:24, 18 April 2010 (BST)
In answer to Dirty's first question - say 2-3% PKers and cultists, maybe another 5% zergs (many of which are pro-survivor anyway). Nothing to be done! 20:27, 18 April 2010 (BST)
And if ther is no survivor class why did you throw around th %64 in the first place?--Dirty 20:29, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Did I, like, mention the word class? Infrastructure 20:32, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Yes, and I answered that with a link to the game. You automatically asume that picking survivor means that you will play for the survior, your wrong. The game fails to identify pkrs and the like. The link you provided is a "standing" count, it does not say that this many people are playing for the survivor right now. I did not ask for a standing count of anything so in all reality that link was irrelevent to this discussion. Now wile you think about that, think about this, In reality %36 zombies is actualy pretty generous because we all know that at least %15 of that number is waiting in line like good little sheep to be revived. In conclusion, don't pull random numbers out of thin air, and don't play dumb. kthanx bye --Dirty 20:50, 18 April 2010 (BST)
64% standing survivors generally means about 58-60% actual survivors. So it's not quite thin air. Nothing to be done! 20:52, 18 April 2010 (BST)
And even you fail to relise the other side of the line where i just explained how that numbe can't be correct due to the amount of standing zombies waiting for revive.--Dirty 20:56, 18 April 2010 (BST)
I pretty sure I specifically said standing. Oh no wait I definately did. It's right there in post there. Nothing to be done! 20:58, 18 April 2010 (BST)
As did I. your point being?--Dirty 21:00, 18 April 2010 (BST)
My point is that you don't seem to have a point. You're arguing with people here for no reason. Nothing to be done! 21:13, 18 April 2010 (BST)
My point is he provided a link that has false information pretaining to this argument wether you agree with me or not is your fault, i have provided multiple reasons why that number is incorrect and have yet to get proven wrong at any point thus far. Arguing? No. Coming to some kind of formal conclusion where you and infrastructure relize that %64 is a thin air number? Yes. I'm not trying to be an ass, but if people throw garbage at me, I clean it up.--Dirty 21:17, 18 April 2010 (BST)
It's hardly thin air. It's how it's phrased on the stats page. Amend it by ~5% and you've got the number of standing characters who are pro-survivor. Re-add that 5% and you've roughly got the Mrh-cows back into the equation (they don't usually stay dead long enough to make an impact on the balance). 64% is about as good an estimate as you're going to get, in that case. Nothing to be done! 21:21, 18 April 2010 (BST)
Again.. there is no way to tell, and your judgment of how many people play as survior is not fact so to end this discussion I reject your number, and the number on the stats page for the 3rd time on account of speculation. I know I speculated with the %15 standing z's but not once did I come out with a final number nor will I. This is a number that is not known at present time and will remain unknown indefinitely. Non of this should have gone this far but I am glad it evolved into a discussion about actual levels of pro player in UD. I am saddend that that any such number will not be known. Thank you all for your time and efforts in helping form my conclusion. Love--Dirty 21:37, 18 April 2010 (BST)

Revivification - a player with the Lab Experience skill who uses a revivification syringe on a zombie that does not have Brain Rot gains 10 XP.
