Write one or more paragraphs with at least one hundred fifty (150) words stating why you would like the job.: I just started playing Urban Dead this week, and find the wiki to be an invaluable source of information. Because of this, I do my best to update it constantly with whatever information I have in my travels of Malton. If I'm going to be searching out news and updating the wiki anyhow, I would like to do it for an organization such as yours. As I level up, I plan on adding the skills necessary for other positions with mpr.

ACCEPTED Welcome! In order to get more familiar with more wiki coding, just look at some pages and see how they are put together. You can copy my user page and paste it in yours, filling out whatever you need a possibly getting a new picture. Now, As you are a reporter, I believe you can get started immediately. Go ahead and and right some sort of article pertaining to an event or something that has do with Urban Dead. Here is the format for an article. Create a new page extending from Malton Public Radio. Like: Malton Public Radio/ARTICLE TITLE and I'll show you how to put it on the page. Thanks! SilverMemoryPKMPR 05:01, 9 August 2009 (BST)

Write one or more paragraphs with at least one hundred fifty (150) words stating why you would like the job. -Really want to help to make the UD life more entertaiment. -Because is easy. -Because i like the idea -Because i can use the radio to make radio propaganda to my own events. -Anything more? -Asking to be a Advertizer for now...put my on the crew please.

ACCEPTED Well, I wanted a paragraph, but it doesn't really matter with the advertiser. Since you are only advertising, you can start now.

Go to populated areas and spray paint advertisements. Make sure they have the date MPR opens and that it's on 26.40 MHz. --SilverMemoryPKMPR 21:37, 7 August 2009 (BST)

EVIL

  • Name: EVIL (We are a group)
  • Requested Job: Broadcaster
  • Do you have experience with wiki coding?: Yeah,.... look at all my edits.....
  • Link to some work you have done on the wiki if any: I designed this, was the leader of the Knights Templar, and help design their page when they first formed. I created the EVIL page almost entirly by myself, with minor edits from others along the way.

Fill out yes or no for each skill if you have the skill in the following list:

  • Radio Operation: Yes
  • Free Running: Yes
  • Shopping: Yes
  • Bargain Hunting: Yes
  • Tagging: Yes
  • Construction: Yes

Write one or more paragraphs with at least one hundred fifty (150) words stating why you would like the job. I don't have a lot to say about why my group would like to take on this role other than we're an active bunch, and are always looking to expand our horizons in a way that would create a fun scenario for everyone.

If wanting to be a broadcaster, describe the show you will be doing or list the show you will be joining.

EVIL would like to fill one of the broadcaster roles for an hour long show once a week, called "The EVIL Hour". The primary focus would be to provide updates on Malton and it's suburbs regularly. We would update the community on major events, local happenings, and whatnot. Examples would include: The Fifth of November, Mall Tours, Upcoming groups like Shacknews, issues like The Strike, ect,... and to present it from a individuals perspective. We'd also interview locals, and various Malton Celebrities. We'd have a Halloween Special every year, with contests occuring on the wiki.

ACCEPTEDAs much as I enjoy the fact that the entire group wants to join, I will need your group (or whatever individuals in it) to apply seperatly. Assuming you all will be anchoring the show, just get your comrades to sign up as broadcasters (and one broadcast manager) and have them list "The EVIL Hour" as the show they would like to co-anchor. I'll have you placed in the crew. Also, when will your show be taking place (EST)? SilverMemoryPKMPR 02:17, 8 August 2009 (BST)
Yes,.... EST. I will also have anyone interested in co anchoring sign just below our posts here. Otherwise, it will just be me. It will probably occure around the 11 to 12 o'clock hour. And may not last quite an hour. What frequency should we use? --Poodle of doom 04:56, 8 August 2009 (BST)
Starting August 31, we are broadcasting on 26.40 MHz. I put your show in programs page. I'm assuming you meant AM for your time. Go ahead and change the logo, but make sure it is 280x400 pixels. SilverMemoryPKMPR 05:29, 8 August 2009 (BST)
Yes. That would be 11pm to 12am. -Poodle of doom 20:17, 9 August 2009 (BST)

Write one or more paragraphs with at least one hundred fifty (150) words stating why you would like the job.

I think I'm an above-average writer, my grammar is flawless if you care about that, and mostly just want to have fun. On Urban Dead I wasn't part of any real group, and I'd like to start the day with organization instead of running around. I want to be a part of something. I'd always wanted a job in news or broadcasting, anyway.
I keep on seeing things people spray on walls in Malton along the lines of "Darkfang567 was here-don't forget me!", which I promptly cover. I don't want to be like them. I want at least a few people to remember I once existed in this game. If this group ever gets famous, I'd want my name under "Founders". Yeah, that'd be nice.

If wanting to be a broadcaster, describe the show you will be doing or list the show you will be joining. A Q&A show, something along the lines of "Ask MPR" or "Questions with Kevin". I'd answer questions about the show, advice on anything from certain predicaments the asker is in to how to gently kick a sensitive member out of a group. I think I'd be good for the job, because I like finding what's going on inside a guy's brain. I'm a pretty good judge of character.

I think it's best if I answer emails, because live questions would crowd up the channel. I can only do it up to 2 or 3 times a week at 5-7 US Eastern Time. If this can't be done, I suppose I could be on the "EVIL Show".

Well of you cant tell, I'm a newbie. In order to get the two skills I need. I would need to spend 175 XP being a medic. why am I looking for a group so early? I played this game awhile ago and stooped for some reason. I started up again today and went "hmm I should join a group and have some sort of backup" so I went looking at the recruiting page on this wiki and found this. Being an avid NPR listener I found this group funny and deiced to see what it was about. Seeing this was a fairly new group I figure you wont need a newbie. but I hope you guys consider me as an advertiser and if not I will still be an avid supporter of MPR

I like the RPG aspect of UD, but I also like the user-created events and things like BARBRAZ. Urban Dead has a high potential for serious strategy, creative RPing, and just plain fun. I have taste for all three, each of which apply to this. Plus, I like user-created "newspapers".

If wanting to be a broadcaster, describe the show you will be doing or list the show you will be joining. I can be on 5-7 EST (US Eastern Time), just like ProfessorKevindubrow. I, myself, want to do "Seige Tracker," going around to Mall, Fort, and suburb seiges, boosting morale, and interviewing surviviors. And possibly this.

I also have an idea for a Malton Movie program, where movie theaters tune their radios to a certain frequency, and then we broadcast lines to it.

I'm not a fighter. Nor am I a planner or someone who wants particularly...grand things. But I do write, did for three years before Hell had a party in the U.S. of A. and I do like stories, from people all around Malton here. It's a veritable smorgasbord of information and life in this city of undead and I'm quite the eager self to explore the shadowed niches of this city's depths. I'm not an experienced errr..."zombie" specialist as it were, to be honest, I was supposed to just shoot some overview photos for a Newsday blurb, but wouldn't ya know it, copter I was in got shut down when the quarantine was enacted. I have some medical experience as well from a short time with the Red Cross, I'm not really sure how helpful that will be with a virus but a I can pull buckshot and other assorted metals from legs fairly well. Besides that, well...I ain't gonna shoot ya unless you fire first and you can trust me to pull your dusty arse from the crumbling remains of HQ if/when the zombie horde decides to peg us as Priority Meal...gotta count for something right?
