History

The Richmond Hills Regulars (ЯHR) is a loosely organized pro-survivor group which came into being in the Fall of 2009. Comprised mostly of friends, locals and regulars from the Giffard and Splain pubs, the group formed around the common goals of fun, fellowship and the preservation of the suburb. Many of its members have belonged to other groups and/or worked with each other at one time or another in the past. The symbol of the ЯHR is a black griffin on a red field, and can often be seen sprayed on locations around Richmond Hills.

Motto

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosvelt

Location

The ЯHR is located in the suburb of Richmond Hills in NW Malton. While the organization does not have an official "headquarters", per se, Regulars can often be found in The Giffard Arms and The Splain Arms in the Northwestern and Southcentral parts of the suburb.

Mission

The goal of the ЯHR is to assist the survivors of Richmond Hills and aid in preserving the suburb while having fun doing it. When the need arises, Regulars have been know to contribute to other pro-survivor efforts in all of Richmond Hill's 8 surrounding suburbs (Darvall Heights, Eastonwood, Brooke Hills, East Becktown, Ketchelbank, Lukinswood, Havercroft and Barrville).

Membership

Membership in the Richmond Hills Regulars is technically open to human players dedicated to making a positive contribution to the survivors of Malton, specifically in and around the suburb of Richmond Hills. ALL survivor classes and ALL levels are eligible for acceptance.

However, it should be noted that they call themselves "Regulars" for a reason...most know each other from other groups they may have been in or from working in and around the suburb; membership is usually by invitation only.

In a situation where they're not familiar with an individual that wishes to join their group, they like to work with them a bit, and see them active around the Richmond Hills area for awhile before making their final decision. Please note this is not a flat out rejection (they'd let you know straight away if it was), they just want a chance to get to know you better before approving your application and decide if you're a good fit for the group. For further information, find and speak with Griff in game, or communicate with him through his or the group's talk page. Serious interest from those we have met and haven gotten a chance to know will be entertained and discussed for approval by the group. Something to keep in mind: while signing up for the forum only requires email confirmation, permission to post needs Admin approval. It helps if we know you're coming first. Attempts to sign up at the forum that are not through invitation or are otherwise expected will be politely ignored.

Contact

The ЯHR forums can be reached by following the link. However, as stated under Membership above, while signing up for the forum only requires email confirmation, permission to post needs Admin approval. It helps if we know you're coming first. Attempts to sign up at the forum that are not through invitation or are otherwise expected will be politely ignored. If you or your organization seek to open relations with us, find and speak with Griff in game, or communicate with him through his or the group's talk page. From there details for further discussion can be worked out as necessary, which may include representative access at the group's forum.

Radio Frequency

The ЯHR utilizes the Giffard and Splain frequency at 27.28 MHz.

Policy Regarding PK'ing

For those of you interested to know it, ЯHR handles PKing of group members, allies and friends as it chooses. While we respect the purpose of the Rogues Gallery, we do not to support it for our own reasons. This decision is final, and we don't care to discuss it.

In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off.

What's With the Backwards R?

Well, we like the symmetry of the Я when put opposite the R on the other side of the H. Looks cool on a tag. Seemed like a good idea at the time, anyway.
