Résumé Introduction A sniper sent to Malton to evacuate German nationals, this young lady's baptism of fire would come not from terrorist insurgents but from bloodthirsty zombies. Born on 28 November, she came from a family with military heritage, so it came as to no surprise when she enlisted for the Armed Forces when she reached 18 years old. Her first deployment was supposed to be Afghanistan with the ISAF however, following the undead outbreak in Malton, she was redeployed there to help in the evacuation of German nationals. Upon deployment, her unit was dropped in a supposedly secure landing zone which turned out to be zombie infested. She survived but the rest of her unit did not make it out alive. After realizing the futility of trying to survive in the hellhole that is Malton, she decided to join the Fort Perryn Defense Force in an attempt to make Whittenside a safer haven for survivors. Fort Perryn After wandering aimlessly around Malton, she chanced upon survivors wearing military uniforms, flak and kevlar vests, and dog tags. Thinking that there must be a military base or at the very least, a Forward Operations Base, she asked fellow survivors about military presence in Malton and was informed about Creedy and Perryn Military Forts. Since Whittenside was the nearest suburb, she hurriedly went there only to discover that it was full of survivors - civilian, scientists, and soldiers alike. The Fort was secured and so was the rest of the suburb, she immediately stocked on ammo and first aid kits. After looking for any semblance of military order, she came upon the Fort Perryn Defense Force Fort Perryn Defense Force and the Siege of Perryn After reporting to then FPDF Commander Dominica Bekker, she experienced her first siege. 50-70 zombies rose and began knocking upon the gates of Perryn, the situation further worsened when they were reinforced by the Feral Undead bringing the zombies outside the fort to an all-time high of 100 zombies. But with the FPDF at the forefront of the Fort's defense, the defenses held. Even with internal politics and arguments with regards to the defensive strategy, survivors decided to set it all aside and focus on the siege. The result was a highly successful one. The fort held for more then two months, and breakins were immediately dealt with and repelled. Unfortunately, the situation developing in and around the fort was growing precarious at best and even with additional reinforcements from the Army Control Corps Special Forces, Fort Perryn eventually fell to the undead. Dangerous Times With the fall of Perryn, members of the FPDF was scattered all over Whittenside. Erica managed to survive the bloodbath of Perryn and tried to scavenge ammo, First Aid Kits, and Revivification Syringes on the surviving buildings around Whittenside. Her luck ran out with the arrival of the Militant Order of Barhah. She died and spent a week or so as a zombie before being revived by Steve Birch. Training Mission Following the change of commanding officer, in which Dominica Bekker stepped down as commander of the FPDF and gave way to Liz Bathory, command deemed it fit for a training mission. The mission calls for members of the FPDF to assault the fort and clear, repair and cade the Gatehouse. After several successful frontal attacks followed by hand to hand fighting, the Gatehouse was taken by Liz Bathory and repaired. Erica managed to cade the Gatehouse to VSB++. The mission was declard a success and proved the FPDF's coordination and brutal efficiency. However, given the lack of reinforcements coupled with intel that the Big Bash 3 was moving to Fort Creedy, the FPDF command echelon decided to reinforce the Creedy Defense Force. Fort Creedy and Big Bash 3 Erica, at first, decided to stay in Whittenside and try to ride out BB3 once it hits the suburb. But after the lack of ammo and first aid kits, coupled with a nasty infection, she decided to head to Creedy. The suburb surrounding Creedy was pretty much untouched by the recent battles, and Creedy was up and running with a substantial amount of defenders in and around the fort. When BB3 did hit Pitneybank, the battle was quick and almost painless. The fort was breached and most of the defenders were either killed or scattered. Erica died defending the fort but was immediately revived. Operation Damage Control After BB3, the greater Cannonball Crew decided to retake the suburbs previously devastated by the Militant Order of Barhah and the Big Bash 3. What started as a simple repair and re-cade operation soon turned into a combat operation. It started when the leadership of the Cannonball Crew (i.e. Cannonball Crew, Team Xtreme, and Fort Perryn Defense Force) deemed it strategically important to repair and barricade the Wetheral NecroTech Building so as to provide the surrounding suburbs with Revivification Syringes. Unfortunately, there efforts were thwarted by the resident zombie group, Clubbed to Death. It was decided to take on the Gulsonside Suburb and face the zombie group headon. After several running battles and close quarters combat, the Fort Perryn Defense Force headed back to Whittenside to retake Fort Perryn along the members of The Fortress. Unfortunately, constant firefights and non-stop dangers finally got through Erica and she broke down. Hiding in destroyed and unpowered buildings, she stayed their for days, unable to venture outside. Operation Helping Hand After taking a hold of herself (and her wits), she contacted members of the FPDF and was promptly informed to head to Perryn. After holding the fort for days, the zombies broke in and overran the fort. Erica was one of the first to die, after being revived. She is now alive and is in Whittenside along with the rest of the Fort Perryn Defense Fort as they continue to fight for survival and the right to exist. She still hopes of leaving Malton alive and going back home. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
