All possible information has been gathered about our recent applicants. Questionable methods are said to in use, while others feel our methods to be for the greater good. Our official statement released was this, "We at Umbrella Corporation believe that with new technologies being released everyday, it's time to use it to our advantage. At Umbrella Corporation, we have started a new phase in our research of the T-Virus. Only two days into initial testing, and we are already seeing significant breakthroughs. More research will need to be done before any findings are released to the public. We have already made sure that all of our testing complies with FDA and PETA standards." The animal testing phases were already complete. We have made all of the possible discoveries with them that we could. That was just some bullshit they made up to cover their own asses. God, what have I become?

My God. I have seen some horrible things in my life before, but nothing like this. I've starred for hours at countless photos from World War II. I've done my fair share of testing on corpses, but I've never seen anything like this before. The only true way for me to express what I've just witnessed was pure cannibalism. What the hell am I doing here?

This is not what I signed up for. Human guinea pigs, genetics, and viruses! If I'm creating things for our future, then our future is fucked. Our group was informed of a new breakthrough detailing some sort of artificial intelligence (A.I. as Veidt likes to call it). Working with him has only helped advance our corporations goals. I guess the rumors were true of him being the smartest person alive. It still makes me wonder, if he's so smart, then why is here working here, with us? What is Umbrella really up to? Someone this smart should not be cooped up here with us at Arklay. This A.I. that Veidt has made, mixed with these viruses I'm helping work on, the whole thing just makes me uneasy. If something like this was to be unleashed, who knows what kind of disaster that would cause. I just pray that we can soon find some sort of anti virus for it soon. These creatures seem almost unstoppable.
October 3, 1981
I would still love to believe it was an accident like some have claimed. I've been hearing some rumors around here lately, but I don't know what to believe anymore. I was told his name was John Osterman. We have been cut off from the outside world since we begun down here. Arklay has become home to so many of us, but we all miss the lives and families we had. Security is strict around here, preventing us from talking to other research groups. I'm just left to hear rumors and information that the corporation deems is necessary.
November 28, 1982
Subjects showing signs of slowing. Flesh is progressively getting worse. Motor skill decreased. Destruction of the brain has shown to be the only effective way of stopping these things. It's been a little over three weeks since they last had access to a "subject" of their own. Some days, I feel like I could really make a difference in this world, other days, I feel like taking everything I learned, and running away. Doing something else. All this research we have recently gotten our hands on, we could do so much for the world. In the end, I'm still left wondering, like everyone else here, what they are planning on doing.
July 4, 1983
It's the fourth. We should be celebrating our freedom, our independence. Instead, we are still stuck here at Arklay. I caught a glimpse yesterday of Mr. Wesker. He roamed the halls with four armed security guards. Also with him was Mr. Birkin. They talked to the supervisors for a little before moving on. What they were doing here, I have yet to figure out. It's been the main talk of the facility here as to what they were doing here. Some believe there must have been a breakthrough with one of the other teams. It seems to be the most feasible thing. The only question then becomes what's going on. I know our research has shown that dead cells can be reanimated. The downfall, the reanimation has serious side effects.
April 19, 1984
So much has happened recently. Where to even begin. Pressure has come down that we have some new results to show for our studies. Some said it couldn't happen, but we believe it has happened. Yesterday, a baby boy was born in the medical facility. It's something that has the other scientist really talking. From what I have been able to gather so far, the woman was a scientist here. She was a member of one of the other research teams. Having complications, she volunteered to be injected with one of the viruses we were working on. By some sort of miracle, the baby survived all the test. Unfortunately for her, she passed away during the birthing process. The baby is said to be in remarkable health.
September 30, 1985
The child I last wrote of, is a little over a year old. All of our previous research has been changed from viruses and genetics to the genetics of this child. From what I have been able to tell so far, this child is not like any other child. He seems to have intelligence and strength far greater than any other child his age. We know which virus his mother injected herself with, but we had no idea how it would turn out. We were told to alter our research to finding out what this child is fully capable of. I really feel bad for this kid. Growing up as some lab rat, not knowing who his mother or father are. This is not where I saw myself when I was in college.
Under the Helmet
Gun shots and fires, people screaming and running for their lives. Out of the shadows, a lone survivor emerged. With a menacing helmet, a cape, and tie, Dark Blue Helmet made his appearance. Wondering aimlessly for a little while, he came into contact with members of Umbrella Corporation. Joining under the corporation, an new unholy alliance would be forged. Whiskey Platoon would never be the same again. Dark Blue Helmet, Umbrella Corporations Commanding Officer of the Whiskey Platoon speaks in a deep bass voice and breathes audibly, as the helmet hinders his breathing. This often causes him to lift his visor, revealing his face and his intentionally incredulous high-pitched voice. Helmet is the commander of Umbrella's Whiskey Platoon, and commands the flagship Umbrella Corp One. He uses The Schwartz to discipline his subordinates, not by force grip but by crushing their testicles with the Schwartz. He enjoys women, drinking, money, The Grand Lebowski, and playing with G.I. Joe action figures. Declaring himself Harman Black's "father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate" (which simply makes him either Black's former roommate or his cousin's former roommate; since Black does not recognise him, it is likely to be the latter), which he sums up as making them "absolutely nothing".
