So, you're apparently interested in joining Axes High, or at least curious as to what membership with us would be like... Well, we'd love to have you... well, most likely! Axes High is one of the oldest survivor groups in Malton, with a rich history as one of the greatest groups in the game. Note the word history... Axes High suffered a near catastrophic drop in membership and activity in mid-2007, and nearly brought us to an end. With the amazing efforts of a few fine men, including former First Among Equals, 21Charle, and fellow DEM group members, it was brought back from the the brink, and is growing strong, continuing on its mission to protect our friends and neighbors from the zombie menace, and have good time doing it.

Since 2005 it's been our official mission to protect Barrville (one of the most contested suburbs in the city) and its residents who, regardless of group affiliation or career path, are some of the finest folks I've come to meet. We also take trips outside our home suburb to help our friends in need, as we've done many times this year during events such as "Operation Phoenix" (parts I, II, & III), "Operation Jungle Drop" (our... "alternatively successful" effort to help in Eastonwood), "Operation Boring Fort Defense" (just like it sounds), and most recently "Operation Blockade Run", where we played an essential role in the defense of Ackland Mall by keeping freerunning lanes and resource points open to fill the inventories of our fellow survivors, and fighting alongside some of our greatest friends; The Crimson Clan, Ackland Mall Security, /zom/, and others. While we take our work in defending our home seriously, our main goal will always be to have a good time fighting side-by-side with our fellow teammates.

If you're interested in joining us, there are a few things you'll need to do, and a few things you'll need to know, beforehand.

What You Need To Know:

-First and Foremost, Axes High is a Melee-Only group. Although we will not deny an application because you possess gun skills, once you wear the Axes High group tag, you'll have to relinquish your guns, and trust in the Axe (or any other melee weapon you wish to use). Forsaking firearms may make our job difficult, but it's the element of our group that sets us apart, and attracts only those who are truly committed to the cause... and those who are truly stylish.

Note: You must provide proof that you have relinquished all firearms from your inventory via a screenshot or an Iwitness report if you have gun skills. If you don't have gun skills, then you don't need to do this.

-Second, we Do Not PK. If there is somebody presenting a serious risk to our fellow survivors, they may certainly be punished, but not unless they present a viable risk to the community. (Axes High supports the use of the Rogue's Gallery and the Resensitized Forums' "Zerg List" and "Ignore List". "Bounty Hunting" is only condoned under circumstances in which a KOS PKer is actively killing in the Barrville area, and a bounty report is filed properly with the RG or with Resenz.)

-Finally, Axes High is a closely-knit group. You'll be expected to be at least moderately active on the forum or the public IRC. You needn't post every detail of every AP you spend (though the more information you can share, the better), but it's expected that you'll post at least every week or two at the least. If you don't post for six weeks, despite warnings via forum PM, your access to the group forum will be revoked.

How to Join

If you'd like to join us, and you may apply on the Request to join Axes High thread. When you do so, please include a link to your UD Profile and your current location. After joining, your requirements and preferences as an individual survivor will be discussed, so as to find the best training method for your skills and needs. Important: If your character has any gun skills at all, you will need to post a screenshot or iWitness of your inventory showing that you've fully embraced the axe... and your extra inventory space.
