The Malton Vice Unit is a core group of the Department of Emergency Management, which has more than 200 active members. Tasked by the mayor of Malton, the MVU is an independent, undercover department tasked with assisting the MPD in protecting the streets.

Membership in the vice unit is not restricted to police-class characters. Civilian and military may apply, although the unit only accepts the most highly decorated and experienced detectives.

What We Do

The Malton Vice Unit is a small, undercover team dedicated to the protection and survival of the citizens of Malton. While we see the need to sometimes use excessive force on those that break the rules, our primary aim is to serve and protect, although not many now are truly innocent.

Members of the MVU rarely make reports owing to the nature of their mission, which involve quickly weeding out the worst of Malton's survivors and moving on without being bogged down in local politics.

All new members have undergone rigorous survival and tactics training at The Academy, and spent years on the streets as part of the DEM before being moved to the Strike Unit and cut loose on the streets.

Goals and Guidelines

To achieve these short- and long-term goals, the Malton Vice Unit has set forward the following guidelines for units in the field:

Serve and Protect your fellow survivors.
Work with your community and assist any local groups and freelancers whose goals are congruent with DEM goals and policies. Working as a team, we can accomplish great things although the specific goal of the MVU will often be at odds with the main group, we are tasked with working for a higher cause.

All members of the MVU are held to high standards. Personal insults, especially if aimed at fellow MVU or DEM members, are not tolerated and have no place in this group, as does other questionable behavior. This ensures that within the group, a team spirit and a friendly, trusting, and open atmosphere exists.

Joining the MVU

In order to join the Malton Vice Unit:

You should be Level 40 or above.
An active record of PKing is frowned upon but not banned.

MVU Core Curriculum

MVU recruits are expected to master the MSD core skills and an advanced skill during their time at The Academy. New graduates should make acquisition of the advanced skills a priority after receiving their first assignment. Recruits who enter the Academy already in possession of all the core skills and one advanced skill must only attend campus for one week or until they have demonstrated mastery of DEM policies and protocols.

	This User or Group supports the Uniform Barricading Policy by actively maintaining barricades according to local plan or UBP standard.

	Sacred Ground Policy Supporter
	This user or group supports the Sacred Ground Policy and acknowledges that all Cemeteries in the city of Malton are considered Revivification Points.

	River Tactics Supporter
	This User or Group supports River Tactics.

	No Random Revives Supporter
	This User or Group supports the No Random Revive Policy by utilizing Revivification Request tools.

	PK Reporting
	This User or Group supports PK Reporting. Don't let Player Killers get away with murder. Report them on the Rogues Gallery.
