The Wraiths are a special covert operations unit, based on the Wraith Squadron characters from the Star Wars novels. We operate primarily out of northern Central Malton, particularly Barrville, Roachtown and Ketchelbank, although there are regular expeditions to several other suburbs.
Structure/Goals
Although The Wraiths do have a leader, they generally make big decisions as a group; even the lowest-ranking personnel get to put forth their opinions.
Short-term goals include:
i) Recruit more members.
ii) Drive the griefers out of Yagoton, and make alliances with local groups there.
Long-term goals are:
i) Reclaim Ridleybank from the zombies, and put it permanently back into survivor hands.
ii) Destroy as many zombies as possible. So far, the group has 588.5 confirmed zed kills (one might have been a dog, we're not sure).
iii) Drum up interest in the possibility of an in-game Star Wars convention, maybe at one of the Hotels or Malls.

Friends of The Wraiths
We've made allies in most of the suburbs we've visited, and since we're so kind and generous we've decided to give those individuals and groups shout-outs here.
The Gingerbread Men: You could say that this group inspired The Wraiths, since the GBM were the first survivor group to pull off covert ops in Malton with any kind of success. We've worked with them so many times now they might as well be honorary Wraiths (or us honorary Gingerbread Men).
The Malton Zookeepers: Along with the Gingerbread Men, probably our closest friends in Malton. Also one of the few groups that can match us in sheer, random insanity. They have kindly allowed us to set up our staging area in their territory, and we are looking into receiving permission to make radio broadcasts from one of their unused buildings.
Malton Tours Inc.: Speaking of sheer random insanity... this group is a barrel of laughs, we always have a great time going on Safari with them. Hopefully they're still around.
The Abandoned: We haven't worked as closely with them as we have with TMZ or GBM, but we have run multiple ops in Yagoton and we've always been impressed by their efficiency and high level of organization and grateful for their help (whether they know we're there or not).
Yagoton Revivification Clinic: We've gotten a lot of timely revives from them, and definitely owe them one. Or one hundred. Whichever comes first.
Channel 4 News Team: Generally we try to avoid the spotlight. Unlike most journalists, these guys respect that. Plus, they kill people with tridents. How kriffing awesome is that?
The Chudley Cannons: Sadly they're no longer active, but they were great friends to us whenever we deployed to Caiger Mall.
Caiger Mall Survivors: Speaking of Caiger Mall... yeah, these guys are legendary and there's not really much original praise left to heap on them.
Upper Left Corner: We had so much fun defending Caiger Mall with these guys, we followed them to Southall Mansion. Where we joined them in glorious battle once again.
Tynte Mall Union: Our first mall-defense op was in Tynte Mall, and even though we got our asses kicked these guys were a huge help. We've yet to venture back to the mall, but have fond memories of our friends there. If they ever need our help, they can call on us.
Independent Malton Militia: A group we allied with shortly before our sudden and unfortunate disappearance in April 2007. Currently, we are looking into reestablishing our relationship with them.
Night Ravers: New friends, encountered just this past month in the City Zoo. They seem to have the same fun-loving spirit that initially attracted us to some of our oldest and dearest allies, like the Zookeepers and Gingerbread Men. Also, they make the only drink we've ever seen that's scarier than our mechanic's solvent.
Brotherhood of Steel: Our newest friends. We don't know much about them yet (they're almost as secretive as we are!), but we've decided we like them and are currently helping to secure their headquarters.
What We've Been Up To Lately
Although much of what The Wraiths do is highly classified, missions already completed will occasionally be posted here.
April 2010
After a prolonged and mysterious (of course it's mysterious, we're the Wraiths!) absence from Malton, Wraith operatives are starting to pop back up. These include some new faces, as well as whatever old operatives we could dredge up from the depths. It's unclear what the Wraiths are up to at this point (naturally), but unsubstantiated reports suggest that they are once again converging on the City Zoo.
Also, the Wraiths' Radio frequency has changed. Wraith Radio, once we get a kriffing transmitter up anyway, is now on 27.22 MHZ.
Update: The radio transmitter is up now, and The Wraiths are broadcasting. Well, sort of. Since most of the group's information is relayed privately via private messages on the forum or Mobile Phone messages in-game, we don't use the radio feature as much as less paranoid groups do.
April 16, 2010: The Wraiths are now in Yagoton as well, and have launched Operation Extreme Prejudice there. The operation's goal is to kill ToTalk, the griefer and suspected zerger, so many times that he finally leaves the suburb. We are willing to collaborate with other groups on this op, and will be awarding a prize to whoever kills ToTalk the most times.
April 21, 2010: The Wraiths deploy to Shackleville for the first time in history to deliver aid to The Malton Zookeepers in their time of need.
May 2010
May 1st, 2010: The Wraith occupations of Yagoton and Shackleville continue, with a pitched battle against zombies in eastern Shackleville and a still-ongoing PKer/GKer threat in Yagoton. A new team is also en route to Nixbank. Talk of a more secret operation in another suburb has occurred, but nothing has been done about it yet. Wraith operatives in Ketchelbank have had little to do except make radio broadcasts so far.
May 5th, 2010: Wraith operatives in Ketchelbank woke up dead thanks to a joint attack by two zombie groups -- The Dead Bunnies in the north near the City Zoo, and the RRF further south. We do not know at this point how closely coordinated -- or allied -- the two groups are; intelligence analysts are currently working on answering this question for us. At any rate, the Ketchelbank team can't complain of boredom anymore now that only one of them is alive. Happy kriffing Cinco de Mayo, I guess.
May 7th, 2010: Plans are now officially underway for an in-game Star Wars convention. If you would like to host it, please let us know. Otherwise, we'll pick a random hotel from a random Wraith-occupied suburb.
May 19th, 2010: The Wraiths are still actively involved in the standoff in Shackleville, a suburb which seems to be largely in survivor hands one day and then mostly in zombie hands the next. Neither side appears to actually be winning at the moment, but we're having quite a bit of fun harassing the zeds there nonetheless, and our lower-level members are gaining experience like crazy.
In Yagoton, a mass assault by the RRF's Gore Corps has caused many RRF members to be added to Operation Extreme Prejudice. Our oldest enemies appear to have gotten a lot more interesting since our last encounter with them.
May 23, 2010: Despite what it says on his profile, bev4pf is NOT a Wraith. He is, in fact, a known PKer and one of our primary targets in Operation Extreme Prejudice. Any attempt to remove this from our Wiki page will be reported as vandalism and met with banning.
May 31st, 2010: It appears we've chased the Gore Corps out of Yagoton. Though they came on strong at first, they were actually quite easily defeated. :P
Survivors appear to be gaining the upper hand in Shackleville as well, possibly due to the recent discovery by our group of the most powerful weapon in the game... the newspaper.
Ketchelbank and Nixbank are still fairly quiet. If you can call The Malton Zookeepers "quiet"... somehow the word doesn't seem to fit them.
June 2010
June 3rd, 2010: The Wraiths successfully defended Ryley Road Police Department in Brooke Hills from a surprisingly organized group of ferals (but not those ferals). It turned out to be a fairly lopsided victory in the survivors' favor, with The Wraiths accounting for four kills -- one by flare gun -- all by ourselves, so as long as the zeds don't regroup and storm the building again we're going to be getting drunk off our asses in celebration over the next few days.
In other news, Nixbank has finally gotten dangerous and Shackleville has finally gotten at least reasonably quiet. Yagoton is still a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Except for our allies, of course. They're good people.
Ancient History
The Wraiths now have an Archive for older information.
Controversy
The Wraiths' tactics, including forum spying, use of Feeding Groans and/or false flare launches to lay traps for zombies, dummy barricading and ZKing as a means of psychological warfare, have been called into question on occasion. We do not apologize for this, or for combat revives performed before the syringe nerfing made them too inefficient and they were scrapped as a tactic. Remember, we're RPing something on the level of CIA spooks here, and therefore aren't bound by the same moral constraints as your typical military-themed group. If we found a foolproof way to get away with it, we'd likely even indulge in a bit of good old-fashioned zerging.
Multiple Character Policy
With that being said, The Wraiths prefer that if you have multiple characters in the group you keep them in different suburbs. Due to our tendency to simultaneously deploy multiple teams of varying levels of permanence all over the city, it is theoretically possible for a player to have as many as 5 characters in The Wraiths without them ever seeing each other.
