Extra XP for Zombies

  • Re - This suggestion was up for less than 2 hours before it was removed. There should be a minimum time limit (24 hours would be reasonable) before a suggestion can get removed; this is supposed to be "voting", not a game of spoons! (And yes, I would have voted kill or maybe spam- but hey, I never got the chance.) --Swiers 21:09, 22 October 2006 (BST)
    • Re - Or so you would think. But if an idea is so bad it's spaminated within 2 hours it doesn't need to spend the next 22 hours cluttering up the page. --Officer Johnieo 21:26, 22 October 2006 (BST)
      • Re - IMO, its not democratic voting if after fewer than 5 votes nobody else can then even have input. Democracy does require some exertion of effort, maybe even reading a bit of "clutter". Are we afraid of information overload? Besides, "spam" is so grossly over-used... --Swiers 00:21, 23 October 2006 (BST)
      • Re - I'm not saying more imput is bad, but a mandatory minimum seems like a bad idea to me. Also the meaning of Spam has changed. Spam used to equall "I hate it, make it burn", kill "I dislike", and keep "good job chap". Now Keep means " no changes", Kill means "please change" and Spam means "i no likey". Or at least that's how I interperet it. And if you really think there should be a mandatory minimum, feel free to suggest it. --Officer Johnieo 00:45, 23 October 2006 (BST)

That suggestion met ALL the minimums for removal (as noted here):

  • Eligibility for Spamination is acheived if there are at least 7 Spam votes and the number of Spam votes are equal to 2/3rds or greater of the total number of votes, with the author vote included in all these tallies. In addition, A Moderator can if they so choose delete any suggestion with three or more Spams as long as Spams outnumber Keeps. This includes their own spam vote.

Here is a link to the suggestion. Tell us how you would have voted. Officer Johnieo is right on both what definitions are now used for the votes AND about, if you think there should be mandatory minimum, then suggest it.--Pesatyel 03:42, 23 October 2006 (BST)

That suggestion was full of shit and deserved what it got. The system works. --Funt Solo 11:02, 23 October 2006 (BST)
