History
- After a lifetime of abuse and neglect, teenaged telepath Ernest Fairchild was sent by his parents for psychiatric treatment to Dr. Leonard Price. Under Price's care, Ernie was subjected to an experimental dream probe designed to modify a patient's mental state. However, the probe increased Ernie's telepathic abilities to such a degree that he could no longer block out the thoughts of those around him. He now knew that his neighbors were aware of his abuse, but never lifted a finger to help him. Enraged, Ernie massacred his parents and most of his neighborhood before being captured. He was judged insane and committed to Clearview Mental Institute, again under the care of Dr. Price.
- Years later the brilliant medical researcher Dr. Mary Young attempted to cure Ernie using her experimental Neurotech device, designed to purge a psychopath's killing urge. Like the dream probe, though, this experiment too went awry, transforming Ernie into an undead teen psychopath capable of reanimating and telepathically controlling the dead. Ernest Fairchild died that day, but Evil Ernie lived!
The Birth of Evil Ernie
- Evil Ernie hereafter, along with his partner 'Smiley' (A psychotic smiley badge, which was once his pet rat) set about to cause 'Megadeath', which involved setting all of the USA's nuclear plethora on the rest of the world, so the rest of the world fires on itself (a sort of domino effect). Ernie sets to accomplish this by creating an army of zombies known as 'Dead onez'.
Smiley the Psychotic Button
- Smiley was once, simply, a "Have A Nice Day" button... Really.
- Placed on the corpse of Ernest Fairchild by a sympathetic nurse after the infamous (and fatal) Neurotech experiment, Smiley became possessed of the same arcane energies which re-animated Ernest into the teen zombie killing machine Evil Ernie. These energies granted Smiley sentience and a mischievous nature, and he's been Ernie's button buddy ever since. Smiley's mantra is now "Have a Psychotic Day," which bears a new kind of relevance in the world of the early 21st century.
- If Ernie is separated from Smiley, he begins to lose his power and becomes much weaker and, if apart from Smiley long enough, dies.
Evil Ernies Goal
- To raise the dead, and cause megadeath world wide. Only with every last soul on earth dead can Ernie see his one true love. Lady Death.
