The only reason I havent added the hats and blazers suggested by the pie is I couldnt think of a proper name for them either!--Rosslessness 14:24, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Template fixed, may I suggest you remove the Heliport suggestion below? - Whitehouse 15:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. All the heliport version one stuff is on my talk page.--Rosslessness 16:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I like this final idea, it has everything and I don't see why it'd be killed off. And thanks for using my idea of the flavour of the crashed helicopter! Acoustic Pie 16:25, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Doors.. which parts of this structure has doors? Only the tower or all of it? I am guessing the landing pad squares are almost like junkyards when it comes to barricades. - Whitehouse 16:26, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Doors. Always with the doors. Hm I dont know. I was imagining a single story structure with a large control tower, and therefore doors everywhere, but it could be fenced with just the control room doored, or would that not work with a large building?
I'm thinking the Control Tower would be the Heliport equivalent of a gatehouse and that one section should be an armory, where you could find pistols, shotguns, knives, fireaxes, maybe even crowbars. Treviabot92 23:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Heliports aren't really known for having armories. --PdeqTalk* 06:49, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

And what do people think of Search Rates?--Rosslessness 16:34, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Search rates look good if you ask me. As for the doors, go for a large single story structure with doors everywhere. My only curiosity if that is then how it will be is; are the landing pads on the roof of the single story structure? - Whitehouse 16:56, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Yep, theyre little more than a building to house mechanics, fuel and spare parts, the pads are raised on the roof so its easier to land, without decending to tree/power cable level.--Rosslessness 17:02, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, with that answered, I'm all for it. You have my keep vote. - Whitehouse 17:18, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I love it. UCFSD 17:07, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Great idea. Someone suggested making it only a one block building to make it smaller than the Airport suggestion, but perhaps you could only include the Wasteland sections and make it a three block building. I like it either way though.--Sara M 17:24, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

That's my last stumbling block. I am toying with the three wastelands Idea. A big thank you all!--Rosslessness 17:42, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Looking at the map of Vinetown you have the mall and the cathedral all 4 blocks already, so for some difference I think you should go for three. But have the Control tower top left, and then the heliports top and bottom right, it looks a lot neater that way. And the search rates seem fine to me. Acoustic Pie 22:56, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I was saying that it might work well as one block in an airport. The airport suggestion already has a control tower, so all you'd be doing is reducing the number of "heliport" squares from 3 to 1. This would leave you with an enhanced airport that would have: heliport, control tower, terminal, hanger, runway, and airplane. But maybe you would have people yelling "dupe" if you tried to come up with a new version of "airport" --PdeqTalk* 04:34, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Not bad. Add a few more heliports in Malton, and then you earn my Keep Vote.--Shotstol 02:27, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

This is actually pretty cool. Probably one of the only map-changing suggestions I would vote for. I'd recommend one other heliport on the opposite side of town. Other than that, looks great. --Uncle Bill 06:24, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

OK. Modified to 3 and submiteed it. If there is good response i will scout other locations, because I feel negotiation on this now will be hugely long. Thanks all.--Rosslessness 12:03, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Love the idea man, this is great--CorndogheroT-S-Z 15:50, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

What about Gatcombeton? That place is seriously dull, a nice new building would certainly spruce the place up a bit! Acoustic Pie 00:59, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

I wouldn't put it too close to a mall, as then people will flock towards the mall instead.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 01:12, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

How about in Mockridge Heights? The suburb is pretty sparse, no NT building or malls to draw people there. --PdeqTalk* 02:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Ridleybank'd be funny, battle for the Heliport!--CorndogheroT-S-Z 14:52, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

All this discussion about suburbs lacking things and no one has mentioned Reganbank? For shame.--Karekmaps?! 10:37, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Should we move some of the discussions on this from the suggestion talk to here? I know there were 2 separate discussions, one of which is currently on talk. --PdeqTalk* 11:09, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Is should all be included here by means of {{Subst:User:Karek/ProjDev/Suggestions Talk|dis=}} dis= being followed by the content from Talk:Suggestions. I just haven't been able to get around to it lately as I don't have quite that much time available. If you want to do it it goes at the top of the page.--Karekmaps?! 11:24, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for telling me how to do it. I think I did it correctly. --PdeqTalk* 21:09, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Richmond Hills? That doesn't seem to be near anywhere and it has loads of empty spaces. Acoustic Pie 20:39, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Maybe the description could be You are inside Malton's heliport. Pieces of twisted machinery pieces litter the landing pad. There haven't been helicopters here since the outbreak. You know, have some backstory of all the choppers having been destroyed by the Military (Honestly, if there was only one heliport in an entire city, I think that it would be one of the first things sorted out by the military) When a generator is on You hear a faint recorded announcment. It talks about all the helicopters being taken away by the government. This is a well thought out idea, and thus, I shall vote. Anyway, makes sense. The military drops in supplies for the people in the city (Think about it. How are we getting food? I really doubt that the malls had enough stockpiled for two years. And the military helicopters that come about 4 times a year wouldn't be able to carry enough)--Normal PhobicC 09:01, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
