This railway station was built in 1925 on the site of the late Schennal Golfcourse, made famous thanks to a one Lord P. Lamport. He spent a record 75 hours trying to get a decent drive on the course - hence the stations name - and even won an award for it.

21st century wise not much has happened here; though one notable notation is the chap who jumped onto the tracks despite the fact the next train wasn't due in for another hour.

After the evacuaton, it became the headquarters for the Zurds.
