The Shadowmen
"Pulvis et umbra sumus" - We are dust and shadows. "The MCDU Shadowmen" are badass. Unit Four is a portion of the MCDU, which is an official member of the Department of Emergency Management
After four months of grueling tests and experiments it has been clinically proven that the Shadowmen's milkshake is in fact better than yours.
Group Backstory
The Shadowmen - you may see us sleeping in some safehouse. What you won't have seen is the stealthy, coordinated strikes against the undead. These men have saved malls and Necrotech buildings throughout *removed* and *removed* so far, letting the survivors around them rest easier.
Group Goals
Orchestrates deep strikes within zombie held territory and
act as defense against incoming zombies attacks on tatical
resource points.Removal and termination of the Undead.

Sister Groups
"The Shadowmen" are Unit Four of the Malton Civil Defense Unit, which is itself a member of the Department of Emergency Management. Sister groups include the MFD, MPD, MFU and MEMS.

Sure, some might say that life in the MCDU would be boring - but that would be far from the truth.
Since I joined the MCDU, I've seen more of Malton than I ever would have expected. In my first mission I traveled further than many Maltonians go in their entire lives.
I've seen Zombie hordes marauding through suburbs - and the locals struggling to fight the good fight - to protect their families, and their own existence.
Sure, it gets hard falling asleep from exhaustion every night - but what I do - what I belong to - it's important. Here with the Malton Civil Defense Unit I get to genuinely help rebuild civilization - help people.
I know that in this modern age with all the distractions of survival, that it is hard to exist - but its strange that before the zombies came - I think people used to ignore each other - there was no community.
But since the zombies came - people are helping each other more than ever before - we have to - we have to so we can all survive.
Thats the real power of the MCDU - going and helping communities help rebuild themselves. Together with our brothers and sisters of the Department of Emergency Management - we're building better lives and keeping them that way.
Thats why I'm proud to serve.

Operational History
Current Operation - Classified
2007 - September - Hebditch NT Siege - North Blythville's only NT, of critical strategic importance to holding the suburb was under siege. Upon arrival at the NT, only 3 survivors were left with frequent break-ins and the suburb was highly dangerous. Unit 4 recruited a large number of survivors from neighboring suburbs and successfully repelled attacks from hordes of up to 80 zombies. Upon leaving the suburb, the many local groups celebrated victory and farewelled us with the following support:

Northern Lights- The Fourth Unit was instrumental in providing revives to keep the MCDU breathing during the fierce fighting at caiger, and initiated several assaults on local NecroTech Buildings and cleared hospitals to keep the MCDU and it's allies from running out short of medical supplies

Tactical Superiority Doctrine
The Fourth is the only Unit in the DEM that adheres to the doctrine of tactical superiority. This strict adherence allowed the fourth to successfully perform 2 simultaneous assault runs in Northern Lights less than 2 suburbs away on the same night.
Honour List
The entire unit was awarded the Meritous Service ribbon for its work on Operation Red Storm
This list honours those fine officers that have served in the Command Unit with distinction and valour.
Their leadership and presence will be missed.
