Taking back Hildebrand

Altough Roftwood is now pretty well in survivors control, one key point is still ruled by the undead. Now it's time to make our move in taking back Hildebrand Mall. Attacks must be done in waves for efficiency, and since we are active in different times of the day, two attacking hour per one day would be good. These times are 0000 and 1200 GMT. Every soldier can decide whether to take part attack at 0000 or 1200. Buildings around the mall are - at least for now - heavily barricaded, so we can spread out to different safehouses after each attack. Getting ammunition is a bit hard, since the closest mall (Tynte Mall) behind a half days journey. After getting out of ammo the fire axe is a good choise. We need to have support from the citizens of Roftwood and from our allied groups. Spread the word. We'll see how things are proceeding for five days - if no progress has happened in that time, we'll pull back to reload and regroup. First attack time is 30-9-2006 at 0000, which leaves us a bit over 17 hours for preparations. Squad leaders can and are recommended to make more precice plans for their men. Plan is simple: shoot & hack, repair & barricade, move out & regroup. If you have any questions or suggestions, just talk. Ok, lets move. --Lt Gen J.Well 10:41, 28 September 2006 (BST)

  • Obviously plan didn't work as well as planned. Regroup, take back Greenhow and Grimshaw. Try not to get killed. --Lt Gen J.Well 21:21, 4 October 2006 (BST)

Some promotions in RAF

I'm just informing you, that on this day, I've promoted three RAF veterans. Captain Heckkk, Lieutenant Nighthunter and Corporal Spudd will continue pretty much in their former tasks, just Joyner Battalion is for now on more independent, so cpt and lt won't have to ask my persmission in normal field operations. Spudd has been doing important job in your squad for such a long time, so that's why I promoted him without counseling you - his sgt - before. And just to mention: you've been important member of healing & reviving squad as well, so don't be supprised to be promoted in to officers rank in near future. --Lt Gen J.Well 16:15, 6 September 2006 (BST)

That's right

Yes, we have some new recruitments, pvt Kurgan666 and pvt SWAT01 at least. I've told 'em to create wiki pages, but can't help if they really don't want to do ones. There are the profiles: http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=418687 http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=176400 Pvt Swat has already been named to Joyner Battalion, but contact Kurgan666 and take him as part of your squad. I've been away from wiki lately and next two weeks I'll be complitely out of the game. Lt Heckkk is in charge of RAF for that time, but you and sgt Nighthunter will give the daily orders for your squads. Just remember my former instructions: don't take too many risks - if undead want to rush trough Roftwood, we can't hold 'em back. The trick is to slow 'em down with barricades, try not to die and get back as soon as possible. Numbers of survivors in Roftwood is declining, and most of 'em are unexperienced or/and will flee in sight of danger so we are quite alone in here. Good luck. We'll need it. --Lt Gen J.Well 20:05, 22 August 2006 (BST)

Quiet is good

It's true that Turpin Road and Moon Way are practicly out of zombies. And don't forget, that this is good news. I'm thinking that RAF could start rolling extra reviving point in Stanbury Village, but maybe that's too much. One can't have any extra syringes, 'cos they will come handy at some point, so don't be to hasty in waisting them. Joyner Battalion is currently keeping Grimshaw area in pretty good shape, so you could take your squad and spend few days checking on southern Roftwood. For example Mayo Row PD is constantly under undead attack, so some barricading assistanse in there would be welcome. And if southern Roftwood is quiet, you can also take a look over the Nichols Mall - I had a brief visit there, and the place is a mess. Practicly there's no one there - no zeds, no survivors. So a little push made by RAF could make those last undead pull back to Ridleybank, and civilians would be able to move back to that area. If planning to do runs to Nichols, consult lt Heckkk or sgt Nighthunter - Joyner Battalion would like to assist you. --Lt Gen J.Well 15:17, 2 June 2006 (BST)

Congratulations

Right you are sergeant, you've deserved the medical and the headshow badges. Good to hear that things are going nicely - buildings near Grimshaw PD are still quite a mess. Joyner Battalion has been having some troubles keeping some buildings safe. One or two safehouses also, but at least the NT and PD's are too risky to stay over night. Anyhow, the lines on Turpin Road are reasonable (15 undead), so there's no accute need to stay close to that spot. --Lt Gen J.Well 12:39, 28 May 2006 (BST)

Fall back

As you we could see, Western Roftwood is still a very unsafe place. That is excactly why I want especially R&H-squad to stay in central Roftwood while sleeping. 'Cos if and when Joyner Battalion gets in trouble, we need to get them revived fast. And if revivers are already dead, 'cos they slept in unsafe frontline, we have serious trouble. The place you mentioned in your 'code' isn't too safe. I'm keeping buildings in Northern Roftwood with high barricades, but I can't get them clean from zeds by myself. So in that area are lots of barricaded buildings, but most of those have at least one very undead inhabitant. I'm checking Turpin Road tomorrow and will try to get all our members in there revived. --Lt Gen J.Well 11:13, 4 May 2006 (BST)

New squads and their orders

Here are the news. RAF has serious lack of manpower and especially wiki-activity is remarkable low. But we will do what we can, so don’t you worry. We’ll just have to tighten up our lines and work as a real team, not like lone soldiers. Have faith, and help your teammates. I have full trust on you, and I want that every and each one of you will trust RAF as well. RAF can - and will - take Roftwood back from the undead!

  • Ok, here are the new squads. Sgt Semaj will lead on reviving&healing squad. Since our serious lack of NT-specialists and medics, there’s just two men in this squad, and private Spudd is the other member besides prof Semaj. Former RAF member Chineselegolas can assist this squad, if he’s willing to do so.
  • Lieutenant Heckkk haven’t reported in to wiki pages, but I know he is still active. He will take in his lead sergeant Nighthunter and privates Tonyay163, Diceydawg and Scumbagsteve976. This group will form the new Joyner Battalion. Practicly sgt Nighthunter will take care of everyday leading of this squad, ‘cos lt Heckkk will work in special ops most of the time.

I know that there are more active RAF members in the field, but they won’t be using wiki. Heckkk, Nighthunter and Prof Semaj: if you see RAF member not mentioned in this squad forming, please inform them to join either R&H squad or Joyner Battalion. If and when Joyner Batallion gets more members, it will be splitted in two, ‘cos too big squads won’t be efficient. Squads of three to five members are the best. Lt Heckkk and/or sgt Nighthunter can do this splitting as they will, but they’ll have to inform me about the changes afterwards. Privates will follow orders from their squad leaders, and squad leaders will follow quidelines given for ‘em by me. Every RAF member can and is encouraged to recruit more people in our ranks. Inform applicants to contact me in wiki and ask them to read our policy. Remember: no zombie skills are allowed in RAF.

  • And here are the tasks for our squads. H&R will station in central Roftwood. Its task is to use few days in resupplying syringes and FAK’s, and move after that closer to Turpin Road. There it will do a mass reviving to make lines shorter. Use reviving request pages, DNA extractors and other means to save your syringes from the brain rotters. If area is safe, squad can station in there after that – if not, keep central Roftwood as a strongpoint and move back there to resupply once again.
  • Joyner Battalion will take back and hold Northern and Northwestern Roftwood. In practice this means lots of barricading and shooting. Remember operation Bookcase: barricade first, clean after that. And don’t shoot undead in the streets at random. Consentrate taking back buildings that they’ve breached. You are to support H&R squad in its efforts at Turpin Road. Your goal is to have at least four safehouses with extra heavy barricades near Grimshaw PD, Greenhow NT and St Ethelberts Hospital. Working from these safehouses you will take back high profile buildings I just mentioned. If something goes wrong, improvise.

Squads are encouraged to work as a real team: plan your moves, do your attacks/reviving runs/barricading runs at same time, don’t all stay in one place over night. Ask support from other squad and me when needed. Use our revive request -section when in need of reviving. I’ll support both squads, collect intel for our coming moves and keep in touch with our allies. Don’t mention too excact locations or plans in wiki-pages, ‘cos undead spies might find your using that intel. That’s enough chitchat – get moving! --Lt Gen J.Well 15:01, 29 April 2006 (BST)

Sergeant, I need to know your status. Are you active, alive or undead, do you have a squad to lead yet and the some info about your current location (not too exactly). Your responsibility for now on is to lead Revification & Healing squad, since after my promotion that post is open. So collect some members who can hold a needle and keep other RAF alive. After our safety comes the job to revive unlucky citizens. But the most important lesson is: don't die. Contact me on my wiki right away. --Lt Gen J.Well 21:24, 19 April 2006 (BST)

Okay, good to hear that you've been active. I'm repeating myself, but I'm saying it anyway: barricading is the best way to claim Roftwood back. Don't run to NT building, barricade yourself in and stay there. Barricade NT building and buildings around it, and when area is calming down, you can stay overnight in some low priority building, like banks, libraries, cinemas etc. And don't worry about squads just yet. I'll first wait everyone to report in and form squads after that. So I will name which members you'll have in your squad and I will give you a strategy to follow - after that you'll contact your men and do more precice plans. I'm currently doing barricading runs from Edgecombe to northern Roftwood and reviving our members. Please check on Turpin if you can and you have syringes - I think that there might be some of our members waiting. And add every RAF member to your contact list, if you haven't done that yet. Reviving is much easier that way. Any questions? No? Well get to work then. --Lt Gen J.Well 10:50, 21 April 2006 (BST)

Thought i'd drop you a line to say congrats on the promotion! Look forward to battling the horde by your side, sergeant, sir! --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 10:42, 20 April 2006 (BST)

roger that sir. fallen back. Where are you? I'm infected. -RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 10:47, 7 May 2006 (BST)

What official entry point are you using to get into buildings in the area? I had to go all the way up to the copeland building to gain entry, and now i have only 1hp left. Currently holed up in Chinnock Auto Repair. -RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 23:46, 9 May 2006 (BST)

Private Spudd reporting sir. As you are no doubt aware, maiden auto was stormed recently, and I fell within. Im currently swaying at Moon Way, awaiting revivication and/or further orders... -RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 00:05, 16 May 2006 (BST)

Good to hear we have a new member on the squad. I have been revived by a friendly survivor named Robin Ood. Back in action... where do you usually hole up? -RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 23:41, 16 May 2006 (BST)

Private Spudd here, Out-of-char. Sorry for my inactivity over the last week, my internet connection account expired and noone in my household thought to renew it. Back to action now. -RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 05:09, 25 May 2006 (BST)

Private Spudd reporting again sir. After doing daily tours of our South-Eastern revive points, I am finding very few zombies in need of my syringes, so I've done a few runs up to Turpin. When do we officially make the move? --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 11:25, 29 May 2006 (BST)

Private Spudd reporting sir. Ran out of AP and only got inside a building with naught but secured doors. Zombies climbed in overnight and gnawed on me before getting bored and moving on. I'm swaying near the southern roftwood border, and tomorrow i'll head for turpin for a revive (or follow any further orders that you give) as long as you and scudo are still stationed near there... See you soon sir. --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 05:40, 5 June 2006 (BST)

Spudd here. Roger that, I had 5 syringes on hand so I revived 3 zombies, including Sprawwl. Currently residing inside the library. --RAF Private Spudd Talk RAF 10:34, 13 June 2006 (BST)

messages from Private Scudo

Yeah I just found that out about the NT building the hard way. --Scudo 19:06, 20 September 2006 (BST)

Dead, currently. Been getting killed as soon as I get revived. Is Wadham or Grimshaw secure? --Scudo 18:53, 18 September 2006 (BST)

Wadham is overrun. I killed a zed and tried to heal up the wounded but more and more zombies keep pouring in. I'm pulling out to a safer location so I'll be alive to help with the revives. --Scudo 17:33, 5 September 2006 (BST)

I'll tell him when I see him. He's not in the library right now but he'll probably be back soon. --Scudo 23:20, 3 August 2006 (BST)

Thanks for the info. I'll be holding out here until otherwise ordered. --Scudo 09:06, 2 August 2006 (BST)

So do we have a place to use as a base or anything? I've gotten killed twice now just trying to find a secure place to regain AP. --Scudo 20:32, 31 July 2006 (BST)

Back from my vacation. Just one question: where is everybody? Area around Wadham Library and Grimshaw is deserted. Requesting orders, sir. --Scudo 06:56, 24 July 2006 (BST)

OOC-- Hey there, this is out-of-character and I just wanted to tell you that I'm going on vacation soon and won't be able to access the UrbanDead site. I'll be flying up to Toronto from July 8 to the 23rd and I'll be staying at my girlfriend's family's house that unfortunately doesn't have internet access. I hope this is ok and that I can catch up quickly once I get back. Sorry about this! --Scudo 08:13, 5 July 2006 (BST)

Question: do we follow Joyner on their incursion into Pimbank or do we stay put? --Scudo 03:55, 2 July 2006 (BST)

Reporting in again. Staying put as per your last orders. Revived a few more today. Once you get back I might need to make a run to the mall to restock (Shopping + Bargain Hunting means I have a better chance of finding FAKs in the drug store than in the hospital) to replenish my supplies. --Scudo 07:57, 19 June 2006 (BST)

OOC- Just FYI, I'll be gone tomorrow (Thursday), so if you need to get a hold of me I won't be able to get back to you until Friday. --Scudo 21:05, 14 June 2006 (BST)

That's cool,I revived 2 at Turpin today. I'll be hanging out at the library. --Scudo 10:31, 4 June 2006 (BST)

Alright, I already got revived so don't worry about needing to revive me. I'll be at the library, sir. --Scudo 08:23, 3 June 2006 (BST)

Zeds got to me in the fire station and killed me. I've been tossed out. I'll get up and make my way to Moon Way, I guess. --Scudo 07:50, 1 June 2006 (BST)

Heh, wasn't trying to complain, I was just making an excuse for not having reported in earlier. But if you're going to Turpin road I'll be right behind you. Need to gather some more ammo first, and syringes too. --Scudo 20:47, 31 May 2006 (BST)

Sorry I haven't reported in earlier, it's just that there hasn't been anything to report. I revived one yesterday at Moon Way, and I'm running a bit low on ammunition, but other than that it's pretty uneventful. I only have one skill left to get (knife proficiency). Not that I'd ever use it, though. --Scudo 01:18, 30 May 2006 (BST)

Zeds broke into Eligius. I went in, killed 2, dumped them out and healed up some of the wounded. Still 5 left as of this message. --Scudo 06:34, 26 May 2006 (BST)

Still hanging out in the fire station. Revived another yesterday. I noticed we have 2 revive requests at Turpin Road (according to the Creedy Intelligence Tool). Is that still an operating revive point? If so, I could make a revive run since Moon Way isn't too busy. --Scudo 22:59, 25 May 2006 (BST)

Continuing to monitor Moon Way. Checked it once yesterday but only found a rotter, so I didn't try to revive. Today I checked it, it was empty. Found 2 guys low on health in Hardsity Auto Repair, with one zombie in, so I took out the zombie, dumped it, and healed them back to 50+ HP. Low on FAKs now, but but in the fire station. I've now got all medical skills from the XP I got today. --Scudo 01:18, 22 May 2006 (BST)

Hey there, Private Scudo reporting. I am on my way back to Roftwood and, seeing as how the Heal and Revive squad is short on manpower, was wondering if I'd better serve the RAF by joining up with your squad. I have First Aid + Surgery + Diagnosis, as well as Necrotech Employment + Lab Experience (and can get NecroNet Access soon), and although I have not been making medic duties my focus so far I am willing to adapt for the sake of the group. If you would have me, I would like to join you unless you think I'd serve better helping Joyner with their task. --Scudo 02:10, 16 May 2006 (BST)

Alright, I am in the Fire Station with you now. I stopped by the NT building by moon way and got a dna extractor and a revivification syringe, but was getting low on AP so I decided to go ahead and link up with you. Also, I have plent of FAKs. I sent Lt. Jack Well a message about officially joining your squad; would it be cool if I made a "Msgs from Private Scudo" section on your talk page since it looks like I'll be under your command from now on? --Scudo 23:19, 16 May 2006 (BST)
