Introduction

Burcham Survivors United is a group that attempts to safeguard the suburb of Judgewood by use of deadly force, sponsored healing expeditions as well as scheduled revives by way of the Sacred Ground policy. As of 30.05 2006 B.S.U is in the process of relocating it's operations. B.S.U is very roleplaying oriented, meaning that when dealing with members of B.S.U you'll most often be dealing with the assumed UD character and not the player him/herself (in short, forgive them for being bastards at times, it's all in line with the RP =D)

History

Sadly, the history of B.S.U is not a happy one and can be easily broken down into sections as follows:

The Beginning

On August 30th 2005 when the panic of the infection was rising fast, a small band of survivors from or around Judgewood banded together. Originally taking refuge in Higgin Square Fire Station the group soon moved to a position it could better defend itself, namely Burcham Bank. It was there that the B.S.U. was born. Assisting anonymously in the defense of Calvert and Caiger Mall the B.S.U also secured neighbouring houses and gave emergency aid to those around Judgewood.

Golden Era

Around December 2005 was the so called "Golden era" of the B.S.U. The security of Judgewood was considerable, a group calling themselves the B.G.P.D (Brentnall Grove Police Department) had set up their base in Judgewood and the two groups operated in tandem for the safety of Judgewood. But at this time all but one of the founding members of B.S.U had fallen or been marked MIA.

Downward Spiral

The beginning of 2006 saw B.S.U's last active member, Jackson Phoenix, fall to zombie claws at Calvert Mall. For some time B.S.U phazed out until Jackson resurfaced and claimed Burcham Bank as B.S.U's headquarters. The alliance between B.S.U and BGPD became strained as Jackson exhibited a rapidly declining mental state. Burcham Bank remained completely barricaded and B.S.U slogans were seen around the neighbouring suburbs. At the end of an unsuccessful recruiting campaign Jackson Phoenix remained the only remaining member of B.S.U.

Recently

May has marked great advances by the B.S.U front. A working alliance was reached with a local medic who has wandered the boltholes of Judgewood giving all those who require it medical aid. Meanwhile other units of B.S.U (consisting of Jackson) have been clearing the streets of straggler zombies as well as making sure that the cemetaries don't fill up. A tour of safehouses was taken, slogans sprayed and barricades mended. But Adam, in this case Jackson, did not stay long in paradise. Recently a conflict of policies has arisen between The Grove and B.S.U concerning

  • a.) Killing other humans (be they PK'ers or not)
  • b.) The Sacred Ground policy
  • c.) The control of Burcham Bank.

This has lead to a silent schism on the B.S.U side, B.S.U breaking away from The Grove and as of 30.05.2006 is in the proccess of permanantly relocating it's operations elsewhere.

B.S.U slogan

"B.S.U, For A Safer Tomorrow"

Policies

  • Human life is sacred.
  • Human security is paramount.
  • Secure and protect tactically important locations (PD's, hospitals etc).
  • Leave no man, civilian or friend, behind.
  • If viable, strive to revive those who have fallen and risen as the vile undead.
  • Burcham Bank shall be classified a holy place and for all intents and purposes, Sacred Ground.
  • Propogate the slogan of B.S.U (via conversation or graffiti)
  • Select an area of no smaller than 8 blocks, make that area your own and the welfare of those within it your priority.
