Today's Exhibit(REVISION)

I would make the weapons antique and non-functional -- pure vanity items. By putting them in buildings and thus establishing a headquarters, the group in question would just attract enemies out to put them in their place. Also, add religious icons for groups like the Church of the Resurrection to hang in their cathedral. --Dickie Fux 21:53, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Yea, im still leaving the weapons up to people, most of the items would be for those who have a home and defend the place regularly... thats a great idea for the cult or resurection, but I cant do much since that doesnt involve a museum... If this idea makes it though I am going to try and expand upon it... but the thing is that if you put symbols up you have to make it so you can take them down... because not everyone would like the church of resurrection marking there territory with permanent stuff... but for now Im just sticking to this...--Ringseed2 22:05, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
I visited a museum in Philadelphia where they had a ton of religious art and artifacts, and a huge room of medieval weapons. They also had art and artifacts of all kinds from all over the world. And yeah, the other players should be able to destroy the item, like generators, so that there's a reason to attack the buildings where some group keeps them. --Dickie Fux 22:43, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Zombie NPCs

To answer the question concerning how I think helping the zombie/survivor balance would be best served rather than cut out the need for PC zombies out by replacing them with NPCs; I have seen a plethora of fascinating ideas to make zombies more interesting to play. The Defile Skill within the peer review suggestions seems a good start, and the extra xp for killing headhunters in the same suggestion page seems another. The eventual implementation of the "Big Building" upgrade Kevan is planning should make mall sieges a lot uglier for survivors and less frustrating for zombies. I think suggestions that increase zombie abilities to coordinate in game and find prey are superior to raw combat buffs or simply replacing the needed characters with those controled by AI. --Matthew-Stewart 17:59, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)

    • If I might be so bold as to reply. I think you are right, but what would the effect have on hordes. As has been said zombies are horde things. You give a base upgrade to one adn you give it to the all, if you are not careful you over correct then survivers are shot all to hell.--Fullemtaled 18:01, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Which is why I think getting more ability to coordinated in game and sense prey are superior to combat buffs in this respect. The best combat buff suggestion I have seen was to increase base zombie attacks and lower the zombie skill buffs, keeping the max the same but helping newb zombies from feeling frustrated. It would increase the strength of feral horde spawned from dead survivors but that isn't too overpowered in my estimate. Zombies don't need to be unstoppable Juggernauts of death wielding carnage to be more interesting, the Defile suggestion is a good example of that. Even the 'Barricade Queue' suggestion and 'Give Directions' suggestions are good ways to help playing zombies more interesting/less frustrating.--Matthew-Stewart 18:14, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
You are right there. But i still say an NPC horde of Zombies would be undigniably cool 8)--Fullemtaled 18:25, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Headshot changes

I made a suggestion today and it got spammed out of existence because I didn't know how the skill worked. If I understand correctly, the player uses Headshot to automatically cause the target lose XP, right? Not knowing that (I thought it was attacking with weapons based) I suggested just doing double damage instead of an XP loss. Somebody gave me some bullshit about how it is offset by Ankle Grab. So I guess two wrongs make a right? If BOTH skills are ridiculous then both are acceptable? NOTHING COMPARES TO A LOSS OF XP Unless Ankle Grab caused the survivor to lose XP when used.-Pesatyel 22:22, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Learn how the game works, learn to speak in a coherent manner, learn to sign your posts. When you've done that, you may speak. Thank you. - KingRaptor 06:45, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Oh THAT helps. Thanks for reminding me to sign (I thought I had), but what are you talking about? If I knew how the headshot worked I wouldn't have asked, jerk. --Pesatyel 22:22, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)
