Cult History

Nozaj Marsh was born in Innsmouth in 1947 as the son of Jacob Marsh. His mother was a Deep One by the name of Th'o H'kra. From a very young age Nozaj was very religious, worshiping his Lords Dagon, Hydra and Cthulhu with a passion equal to that of the Deep Ones themselves. Some time in the late 1990's, Nozaj moved to Malton and had started to look for a place to start up a place of worship. In 2005, the Zombie plague hit Malton, and Nozaj was trapped inside the city when it was barricaded. Wasting no time in searching, Nozaj found a Church by the name of St Innocent's in the suburb of Reganbank and, amused by its name and history, set up a place of worship to his lords. After many months of struggling against the zombie hordes and having insufficient resources to keep the tide of zombies from assaulting the church. He moved to the Shenton museum in Crooketon. Slowly, he dug a tunnel underneath the church that lead to a large underground cavern. In this cavern was a large saltwater lake that led to the Ocean. Setting up idols of his Lords and God, Nozaj preformed the rites and passages needed to contact the Deep Ones, and soon the pool was visited monthly by the Deep Ones ready to receive their sacrifice. Occasionally, Dagon or Hydra themselves will visit to bestow gifts upon Nozaj and his followers. Nozaj rarely shows himself in public anymore, as he has started the change from man into Deep One, but occasionally at night, people glimpse a black clad form shuffling along the streets with a following of black or grey'ish blue clad cultists. It's on nights like these that some survivors are snatched from their homes and dragged kicking and screaming down the long dark tunnel leading to the sea.

The Current Situation

The Shenton museum always seems to be surrounded by a fog. Nowadays, the sky above Crooketon always seems to be overcast or raining, and the smell of the ocean and rotting fish seems to emit from the museum. Many people have gone into the Museum to complain about this smell, but none have ever returned. The surviving local populace swear they have heard the ocean inside the once peaceful looking place of history, as well as the screams of human sacrifices. The new owners' leaders never seem to be able to be contacted, but the people who do answer the calling law enforcement are ugly, pasty, and foul mannered with large, staring eyes. Normal people get a horrible, uneasy feeling being around these people. The Brotherhood's cultists prey on the zombies of Crooketon with a perverse glee, enjoying the slaughter. The Robe wearing cultists also seem to be inflicted with a strange skin condition. This has been attributed to the smell emitting from the cultists and the church. The true reason, however, is far darker and more sadistic than anybody but a madman could dream.

Our Goals

The Brotherhood of Dagon has come to Malton to spread the word of their lord Dagon, the Lord of the Deep Ones and Avatar of Cthulhu; Mother Hydra, Consort to Dagon; and their lord, the great Cthulhu. They worship our lords because of the power they wield, and are awaiting the time when their great leader shall arise from sunken R'lyeh and cause the world to collapse into chaos. In return for their offerings, he grants them the gifts of the deep, tombs of forbidden knowledge, and all the seafood they can eat!

Redskull.jpg Violence is quicker
Both diplomacy and violence solve problems. But violence is quicker.

Allies

Our Allies/Truce's:

  • Those Dudes : We have a Truce with these kind humans. So there will be no sacrifice hunting in the Mornington area. AT ALL
  • Detulux Inc: there is to be no killing of this group.

Creed

Rules

  • 1. No Member of the Cult shall harm another in any way at all.
  • 2. There is to be no PKing except at the selected time of the month, in the case of the monthly sacrifice (One person no more, except on May eve and Halloween in which we will sacrifice two), Either Myself Or the co founder will decide the target
  • 3. No Gking (generator killings)
  • 4.Dont kill zombies at cemeteries, those are Sacred grounds for revives. We understand the itchiness of trigger fingers/flippers so one or two are understandable

Concerning monthly sacrifice

Every month The Brotherhood Of Dagon will sacrifice one person to our Lords Father Dagon and Mother Hydra, the sacrifice shows our lords that we are willing to go to all lengths to serve them. The target will be selected by one of the high priest fathers. Then, one of the Brothers or Sisters who have taken the third oath will be selected by a high priest father and shall kill this person, before the killing the rest chant the following passage three times

I'a Dagon! I'a Hydra! That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeon's death may die I'a Dagon! I'a Hydra!

Then a high priest father shall come forward and throw his arms towards the sky shouting

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. I'a!

At this moment the Brother or Sister will strike the sacrifice, The surrounding Brothers and Sisters will then join them in giving this mortal life to our blessed Lords.

Concerning May eve and Halloween

The Deep Ones rever and honor all their ancestors, but none more than Father Dagon and Mother Hydra. However, Cthulhu is their god, so it's to this figure that they direct prayer and worship. Although R'yleh sunk beneath the waves millions of years before the first proto-Deep One paddled through warm prehistoric seas, all Deep Ones know and fear him. Cthulhu often visits their dreams. It is said among them that one day Cthulhu will return, and only those who have paid him proper obeisance will be allowed to survive. The Deep Ones await this day with trepidation. They sacrifice animals in his honour, usually large sea mammals, or - when they can obtain them - humans. The two holiest dates are the Surface-dwellers' May Eve and Halloween. On these occasions, great ceremonies are held in Cthulhus honour. And so, to honour our Lords traditions and beliefs, we sacrifice another individual to great Cthulhu himself. A party is held after these celebrations at St Innocent's in our lords' honour ... and to get royally trashed.

So far this is the Creed. Further things may or may not be added, so if there is something, we will alert you.

Notice: This User or Group enjoys the RPG aspect of MMORPGs, the category of games that Urban Dead falls into. As such, there is probably quite a bit of roleplaying and/or creative writing on this page and in said User/Group's in-game actions. In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off.
