Labine50

Hey. I've been around since about May 2006, and I've done a fair bit for the community. Some of my more well known contributions are Malton Hospitals Group, as well as numerous locations pages. Others include keeping the Mobile Phone Mast page up to date when I can, and helping newbies. If I make it through the vote, I'll do my best to speed up Move Requests, Deletions and anything else I can to help keep the wiki running smoothly.

For your convenience, here is the link to My Contributions.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 01:00, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Against - Main contribution has been drama, not involved in any maintenance task on the wiki, and not especially adept with the coding of the wiki. No thanks.--Gage 02:23, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Can you give me an example of drama? I went back to December 2006, and couldn't find anything that could be considered drama that you weren't involved in yourself. (Even then there was only two examples) As for maintenance, I consider keeping the phone mast page, suburb news, and location pages up to date, as well as helping out with MHG "Maintenance"--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 03:03, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Against - Labine, with the pudor only someone in the seek of his own vouches has (danger, danger, I could get you to vote Against me too!), I have to tell you that I don't think you're qualified. You have done what maybe it's not "great", but a good work in the location pages, but you're what I consider a "young wiki user". A quick glance at your past shows us that you're not mature enough to take over you shoulders the weight of a Sysop title. You have an impressive ammount of edits (I didn't think you could possibly have so many!) and you have worked for the community, but I still have to trust your judgement, and that trust you haven't earned yet. My advice: participate a bit more on policies discussion and all kind of votings, ignore guys that flame you, and seek to make something more visible, and you'll be paving your way to success. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 05:32, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
While maybe the locations pages aren't "Great", I disagree with the "young wiki user" bit. As for voting, you caught me at a bad time- the amazing amount of stupidity that followed a vote on deletions has made me avoid that sort of thing in recent times.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 00:40, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Abstain - From what I can see, you're a very productive and helpful user, yet I don't think you're capable of making sensible calls. Prove me wrong. --Cap'n Silly T/W/P/CAussieflag.JPG 11:30, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Abstain - The Cap'n took the words right out of my mouth. Show me what you can do! (not just, "oh, I edited this location and this group page", something substantial) --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 00:45, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
(Assuming I know what you mean...) I tried my very best to help solve a dispute with TDToS, for one, and while that may not be much, I have always done what I can to solve similar arguments when I can. You might not think that making lots of minor edits to different locations, suburbs, or the phone mast page is much, but without people like that, you might not know that cemetery was a revive point, X General Hospital has 50 capable doctors in it, that suburb is a great place to stay before heading east, or you can make a phone call in that suburb. Also, when you look at Move Requests, you will notice that nobody seems to have gone through it for a week. It's most likely because most mods either (No offense intended) don't like boring monotonous work, or are on vacation. This is where the people with too much spare time on their hands come in handy. Give me a chance, because I like boring monotonous work.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 01:35, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Abstain Like Cap'n Silly. Your productive, but I don't believe your gonna make the right calls. --Kamden 01:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC) Vouch You've convinced me now. --Kamden 03:03, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Vouch - For the functional side of things. If you're willing to not get too involved in some of the drama on M/VB, then I have no problme with you being a mod to aid you in maintenance tasks.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 23:13, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Vouch - I think you would bring a fresh perspective to mod decisions. As a precaution, I looked for evidence of you causing trouble, but I could find very little against you. --Toejam 12:19, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
    I don't believe you. I honestly don't. --Hubrid NoxSys WTF U! B! 05:21, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
That's unfortunate, because what I said was true, I even did google searches with his name and common drama words. A lot of people try to make trouble for Labine, but as I say, I didn't find much evidence for him causing trouble for others. --Toejam 14:36, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
I still don't believe you. Blind Freddy could find an example of drama that Labine caused or was involved in. --Hubrid Nox Sys WTF U! B! 14:45, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Alrighty, so he was just saying "zerg" for fun?--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 23:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Of course not, but you're assuming that he saw "Labine50" ingame zerging with some other character. He didn't say that. --Hubrid Nox Sys WTF U! B! 05:19, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Against - Are you fucking kidding me? --CaptainM 02:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Against - If you look at the two candidates below who have received numerous vouches from sysops and wiki users alike, can you really say you deserve to be given sysop status along with them. I don't believe your contributions are as good as theirs, and as such, you get an against from me. Pillsy FT 09:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Re - Fair enough. I personally would have voted for them, but I didn't at the risk of seeming biased.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 23:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Against - Seems to me, your chief contribution, the hospital page, is woefully underutilized on the wiki. So as a contribution, it reads more like a contribution in the dark ... and not in the good "behind the scenes" manner of the below candidates manner. Beyond that, the preponderance of objections based on your conduct are more convincing than your bid. My advice, don't "want" the sysop job. Just do good work on the wiki and if someone in the community thinks you'd be good for it, you'd get the nom. Putting yourself up prejudices a lot of people against you at the onset.--The Envoy 17:10, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Re - Now that somebody has gone through Move Requests, I don't care that much whether or not I make it, to be honest.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 23:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
?!? Well if he doesn't care, can we move this off the active board on account of the candidate's "apathy"? Seems the straw poll so far is set against him anyway.--The Envoy 02:58, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Withdrawing a candidacy is besat left to the person himself. It's advisable for Labine to withdraw so as he already has gotten a lot of feedback and promotion is extremely unlikely. Acknowledging that and withdrawing shows more realism then leaving it up.--Vista 09:55, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Although very active for a long time I don't think labine50 has the judgement needed for certain sysop duties.--Vista 09:55, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
