You are standing atop the roof of Caiger Mall. Some construction has been started for a second floor. Skylights adorn the roof surface in triangular peaks, they look too weak to walk on. Empty spray cans, dried paint cans and frayed brushes litter the ground.
Somebody has spraypainted HELP ALIVE INSIDE onto the ground in large bold lettering.
- The shape jumps into view at the base of the mall. You are entirely horrified by what you see. It has far too many disjointed and convoluted limbs of varying length to be tangible. The wretched thing's skin writhes over its vaguely human surface, scurrying and joining, parting and twisting, constantly.
It looks straight at you, though it has no eyes, only vacant, black, pits. You can feel these black pits seemingly grow in size like gushing black-stained blood splotches, spreading out from a diseased corpse.
You lose your senses for a moment. The thing leaps forward, above the heights of the mall, falling down toward you.
