Your suggestion.
Ok, you've had a great idea with different skills being available to different classes. It could be made to work. May I suggest with privates, instead of having better accuracy having a chance to speed-load, say a 20% chance at reloading a gun for free. The medic being able to heal more I like. If you want to work on this, leave something on my page or work on it here. Up to you.--Seventythree 18:22, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Hmmm. way I see it you could go one of two ways. Firstly you could power down the suggestion, by having different characters having slightly different but not game wrecking abilities. For example...
Private - Good at finding ammo in a tricky situation. 0.5% chance that any search anywhere will generate a pistol clip or shotgun shell.
Medic - I like your plan with the medic. However, people will complain about the extra healing. So how about medics gaining 2 extra XP for healing survivors with less than 12 HP?
Scout. Hmmm. Maybe we could extend their line of sight with the binoculars by 1 block?
Lab assistant. maybe a 5% chance that when they use a revive syryinge it won't be used up?
Doctor. They recognise drugs and may spot what others miss. 0.5% chance of finding a First aid kit anywhere
Firefighter. Forced entry. However, instead of destroying barricades, they have a 20% chance of getting through any level barricades.
Cop. Hmmmm. still stuck.
Civilian. Still stuck.
What do you think?--Seventythree 00:06, 15 May 2007 (BST)
You have a point. It's gonna need more than just me working on this. Why not put it on discussions suggestions?--Seventythree 08:39, 15 May 2007 (BST)
How about for the cop: Take cover. Ok, so you're a street cop who has been 'out there' with god knows how may dodgy characters. You've developed something of a sixth sense for who might decide to shoot you. Therefore (for one attack a day?) you have a 25% chance of advoiding an extra point of damage from gun attacks only.
Civilian. all this running around shooting stuff, bandaging wounds and so forth may be second nature to all those cops and army guys, but come on! you woke up one day and half your neighborhood had broken into the kennel and was buisy chewing on poor old fido! This is all new to you, and although with your puny starting abilities and equipment, when you do manage to succesfully do somethig, you can learn a whole lot more form it. Up auntill level 10 you have a 5% chance of earning +2 XP extra from cambat, healing, reviving or scanning. You like these? --Seventythree 12:24, 15 May 2007 (BST)
Hey!
You just added a comment to PR Skill Change: Survivor...which makes no sense. Those suggestions have been voted on, and now they sit on the page for Kevan to look at. So you can't just add stuff to them, since nobody voted for them! Use the Suggestions page if you wanna see current suggestions!--Lachryma☭ 03:03, 14 May 2007 (BST)
Hi Firestorm! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.

| Your User Page |

One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:Firestorm). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:Firestorm/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made. |
| User Talk Pages |
|
Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:Firestorm). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place. However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment. If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format: ==Message title==
Your message goes here When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this: ==Message title==

If there's anything not covered by this introduction, you still have plenty of avenues to find some extra help. Project Welcome and Project Mentor are perfect starting points, but if you have something more pressing at hand, don't be afraid to get in touch with the administration staff. |
Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!
If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 02:26, 14 May 2007 (BST)
