History

Prior to the outbreak, this counterculture club hosted a number of bands from various genres, including punk, folk-rock, reggae, and ska; many bands, like The Toxic Independents, performed in its stage. It was primarily patronized by the young people moving into the Village for low housing. Those youth born in the village occasionally played there as musicians, but most did not like the newcomers.
