|Description: A daily xp reward for new characters logging in every day. maybe 10xp a day to encourage new players to stick with the game a while. One of my friends hasn't been on in a while, for the past 2 weeks he's been level one. Its harder especially because there isn't a lot going on right now. If we want to foster a new player base we need to slightly shorten the learning curve.
|Description: There are just over 3000 active characters in the game currently likely counting a significant percentage of alts and zergs. Shrinking the map by eliminating the outer first two rings of suburbs would increase the amount of interactions between the remaining characters. This shrink could be increased or decreased depending on future changes to the playerbase.

Double/Triple XP would be a better option. It stops players making zergs that gain skills automatically. We want people to play the game, not stand around leveling up. --Kamikazie-Bunny (talk) 18:27, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
:I can agree with that. The suggestion is just for something to encourage new players more.JoshCz (talk) 16:19, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

|Description: I propose that a new "Tournament Edition" of Urban Dead in addition to the current version of the game (which I will call the "Standard Edition"). This Tournament Edition would continually cycle through 90 day rounds. Every three months, the game would start over again and everybody would begin from scratch (having lost all their skills from the previous round). Also, the map would be considerably smaller.
|Description: Due to the passage of time with mobile games and other real time action games without restriction,  I think that we should address the action points system of the game. This game can only realistically be played for 5 minutes a day. So it's not really a seller for new blood. If we want to see this game survive it needs to evolve into something more exciting than 5 minutes. My suggestion is double the regeneration rate to improve activity. I love this game. I want to play it more. And the die hard fans I'm sure feel the same. More will go on in a day, sure. But that's for both sides. We're ready for it. Let's get this game moving again. We need this.
In the Tournament Edition, only 10% of players (or less) would begin as zombies. However, there would be no revives so the number would grow as the game progressed. By the end of the 90 days, the majority of people would be zombies. Those who survived could proudly describe themselves as true survivors. The survivor who killed the most zombies would win the round and receive many internet points for being the most competent survivor. The Tournament Edition of the game would be entirely optional and separate from the Standard Edition so it would have no effect on those who prefer the status quo. However, I believe it would provide a fun alternative which would breath some life into the game. I'm very interested people's opinions on this suggestion. What are your thoughts???

Discussion (Action Points)
Sounds like you might be interested in Quarantine 2019. It's a different game in this same vein, but it operates in rounds, after which either the survivors or the zombies win. Survivors need to research a cure. Zombies need to prevent them from doing it. Might be up your alley. 00:16, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
:I had an idea like this, maybe they could put in a piece of clothing for participants in an event, the clothes prevents a revive until the event is over. Like a UD hungergarmes haha JoshCz (talk) 13:18, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
::Why not just re-open the gates to Borehamwood/Monroville? Yeah, the zombies will have a starting advantage but that's half the fun. I'd also suggest tweaking Headshot so it inflicts permadeath in those cities. Helps stop the zeds getting too much power too quickly. --Kamikazie-Bunny (talk) 18:25, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
:::I tried quarantine 2019, it wasn't really that fun. I heard there are problems with reopening the map seeing as it was a promotional map. I wonder if people would donate to get a game map either created, or reopened for the perma-death game playing purpose.JoshCz (talk) 16:28, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Disagree, I think game experimenting would be interesting, I'm trying to bring friends into the game, gotta see how well that works. If I'm successful I could get a whole college (U.S.) playing UDJoshCz (talk) 21:19, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
:I would support a suggestion that talks about playing with the balance of UD, it would be fun to see what would actually happen if many things were just added to the game. I'm trying to do my part to bring in players, and new game mechanics may be enticing to new people and old people alike.JoshCz (talk) 01:18, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

|Description: I think that Kevan should add (assuming he ever considers updating the game again) museums of piracy and medieval history, and we should be able to scavenge weaponry and obtain clothes from these museums.
|Description: This will be a new item found in schools with a 2% find rate and sports stores with a 4% find rate. The low numbers are because, like a flak jacket, once you find it you have it forever. It increases you encumbrance by 30%. However, you can't use an item that is in your backpack until you remove it from the backpack. It costs one AP to add an item to your backpack and one AP to remove an item. An item affects your regular encumbrance until added to the backpack. Items such as GPS, radios, cell phones, and flak jacket do not work when in your backpack. Items in your backpack will not be shown in your inventory, but the backpack itself will be shown in your inventory. There will be a drop box next to the word backpack that shows all the items inside. When you click on an item in that drop box, it removes it from your backpack (1 AP).

Q: Wouldn't this buff survivors, since they can carry more bullets and kill more zombies?

A: Since it costs an AP to add and remove an item, it wastes a lot of AP to put bullet clips in your backpack if you are planning on using them right away.

Q: If it wastes AP, what is the point?

A: It will be useful if you want to carry around an extra stash of items, such as FAKs and Revivification Syringes, or if you are going far away from any resource buildings and need some extra supplies.

Please give your thoughts.

I would like the costumes, nost 100% on the weapons though.JoshCz (talk) 22:41, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
:maybe flavor weapons like (I know a lot of people would love this) a rusty katana, hits just like any sports weapon.JoshCz (talk) 13:20, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

I agree. I don't want to add something that would be a game changer or anything. Nothing that does more damage or is more accurate than the melee weapons we already have. I'm thinking knife proficiency could be changed to blade proficiency, to accommodate for the new weapons. They would probably be on par with the axe and knife. Mainly just a flavor thing. Maybe some unique text with them or something. Maybe a special message when you kill someone with them. They would have been sitting there for almost 10 years. Not likely they're in great condition. --Jerran1 (talk) 01:32, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Adding a New Discussion

To add a general discussion topic, please add a Tier 3 Header (===Example===) below, with your idea or proposal.

Adding a New Suggestion

 • Paste the copied text above the other suggestions, right under the heading.
 • Substitute the text in RED CAPITALS with the details of your suggestion.
 • The process is illustrated in this image.

 • Name - Give the suggestion a short but descriptive name.
 • Type is the nature of the suggestion, such as a new class, skill change, balance change.
 • Scope is who or what the suggestion affects. Typically survivors or zombies (or both), but occasionally Malton, the game interface or something else.
 • Description should be a full explanation of your suggestion. Include information like flavor text, search odds, hit percentages, etc, as appropriate. Unless you are as yet unsure of the exact details behind the suggestion, try not to leave out anything important. Check your spelling and grammar.
