How To Make a Discussion

Adding a New Discussion

To add a general discussion topic, please add a Tier 3 Header (===Example===) below, with your idea or proposal.

Adding a New Suggestion

  • Paste the copied text above the other suggestions, right under the heading.
  • Substitute the text in RED CAPITALS with the details of your suggestion.
  • The process is illustrated in this image.
{{subst:DevelopingSuggestion
|time=~~~~
|name=SUGGESTION NAME
|type=TYPE HERE
|scope=SCOPE HERE
|description=DESCRIPTION HERE
}}
  • Name - Give the suggestion a short but descriptive name.
  • Type is the nature of the suggestion, such as a new class, skill change, balance change.
  • Scope is who or what the suggestion affects. Typically survivors or zombies (or both), but occasionally Malton, the game interface or something else.
  • Description should be a full explanation of your suggestion. Include information like flavor text, search odds, hit percentages, etc, as appropriate. Unless you are as yet unsure of the exact details behind the suggestion, try not to leave out anything important. Check your spelling and grammar.

Idling Notice

Timestamp: Spiderzed 13:33, 31 July 2011 (BST)
Type: convenience/anti-zerging measure
Scope: Everyone
Description: A lot of players who have been around have collected various alts and idle and unidle them regularly. One inconvenient detail is that we have to keep in mind where that alt has idled, and when exactly we have put it to sleep, in order to avoid getting too close with other alts.

What I've been wondering about is, why use external means when the game could do it itself?

Just give the player an e-mail notice when the alt idles after the five day period, along with coordinates so that the player can check back where he has left his alt before he accidentally re-activates it too close to another alt. To avoid abuse, this notice would be delivered by the e-mail connected to that alt.

good idea, but personally i would not want any more spam in my mail box.--User:Sexualharrison13:47, 31 July 2011 (bst)

Sounds good to me.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 13:49, 31 July 2011 (BST)

Rotten infection

Timestamp:        03:55, 29 July 2011 (BST)
Type: new skill
Scope: Zombies
Description: Probably a dupe but what the heck developing suggestions page needs something on it. Here's the idea, It would create a new skill under the brain rot tree. This skill would be slightly stronger than the current infection where it'd do 2 or 3 damage an action( same rules as current infection). Everyone can agree unless your near death or stuck in the middle of a ghost town the current infection is hardly a a concern. You'd still only need one FAK's to cure it. Simple idea is to give some more benefits to being a career zombie. Considering flesh rot is only useful to the purist zombies who wish to have no human items or skills. Brain rot serves as more of a status symbol and just finishing out the skill tree than anything else.

Please hang your trenchcoats on the coat rack and extinguish your torches. You may keep your pitchforks though.        03:57, 29 July 2011 (BST)

I require photos of a couch before I can discuss the relative merits of a suggestion. --Karloth Vois ¯\(°_o)/¯ 17:28, 29 July 2011 (BST)

Fake guns and raunchy stains included?       04:03, 30 July 2011 (BST)

How about just straight-up upgrading standard infections to deal 2 or 3 damage for every action that requires multiple AP? Standing without grab, reviving, making a needle, scouting a safehouse, and possibly more I've missed. Nothing to be done! 04:20, 30 July 2011 (BST)

I like that idea, better actually. As well as making strenuous actions cost more, barricading and maybe free-running are the big ones that comes to mind. Searching would still only take 1 hp but AP. Thoughts?       04:25, 30 July 2011 (BST)
Dunno if it should include standing without grab, because then it's just punishing newbs.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 13:51, 31 July 2011 (BST)
