Earletown Rangers/Medals and Decorations

Earletown Rangers Main - Members - Allies & Enemies - Medals NOTE: All medal, decoration or merit claims must either be witnessed by another Ranger in good standing, captured via screenshot image, or captured via iWitness. All claims, and their associated proof, must then be posted on the Rangers "Private" forum thread. All medals, decorations or merits are awarded by the Platoon Commander. Medals Awarded for meritorious and/or amazing acts performed by a Ranger: - Medal of WOW - Awarded by performing an action deemed "insanely cool". This is the highest medal awarded to a Ranger. - Medal of Valorios Heroism - Awarded for acts of extreme heroism and valor in the face of death. - Medal of Bodacious Courageousness - Awarded for acts of extraordinary courage in the face of death. - Life Saving Medal - Awarded by saving the bacon of a fellow Ranger or an ally. The survivor must be seriously injured (15 or fewer health) and healed back to full health. - Purple Heart Medal - Awarded to a Ranger who has three or more pieces of clothing from the Regulation Ranger Uniform and said articles of clothing are covered in blood. - Recon Ranger Medal - Awarded to a Ranger who traveled to 6+ suburbs outside Earletown. - Human Torch Medal - Awarded when a Ranger successfully lights a zombie on fire using a can of fuel and a flare gun. - Humanitarian Medal - Awarded when a Ranger executes an enemy of humanity (i.e. criminal) wanted for: PKing, GKing, or RKing. Only criminals wanted on the Dulston Alliance Black List are considered valid targets. - Allied Service Medal - Awarded to Rangers for fighting with allied forces during an operation. - Ésprit d'Equipe Medal - Awarded to Squad Leaders who promote teamwork and communication. A Squad Leader must be active on the forums with 50+ posts. Campaign Ribbons Awarded upon the successful completion of a military campaign: - Awarded to all those who participated in Operation Lightning Bug (on 12 Nov-12 Dec, 2009). - Awarded to all those who completed Operation Candy Cane (on 20-28 Dec). - TBD Decorations Awarded for completing specific objectives: - Longevity Award - Awarded to Rangers who have actively served for 1 year. - Good Conduct Ribbon - Awarded to Rangers who have actively served for 3+ months. - Professionalism Award - Awarded for consistent attention to detail and provided 50+ posts in the Ranger Log (forum thread). - Officer's Training School Award - Awarded by rank promotion. - Lil' Sting Award - Awarded for reviving 10 Rangers or allies. - Night Streaker Award - Awarded for spending an entire night outside, or in the same building as, 3 or more zombies without dying. Proof of the deed is required prior and aftewards, with all events recorded in-between. - Rock 'n Roll Ribbon - Awarded for installing and powering a radio transmitter in the current Rangers Mobile HQ (varies) and tuning to 27.58 MHz. - Old Fart Jogging Ribbon - Awarded for visiting all 22 Malton malls and return wearing a T-shirt from any mall. A screenshot from each mall is required. Zeke Ribbon - Zeke Ribbon - Awarded for distinguised service operating as a "Zeke". - Mrrr! Ribbon - Awarded for weakening 10+ zombies inside deserted buildings (no survivors) or killing zombies standing inside buildings with survivors inside. - Recruiter Award - Awarded for recruiting 3 new Rangers. - Graduate of Basic Training with Honors - Recruit Training Ribbon - Awarded for completing Basic Training. Must also possess an axe, radio, and flak jacket. - Citation for Drunken Idiocy - Better known as the "Doh! Ribbon". Awarded for doing something so godawful stupid that it needs to be memorialized. Note: You cannot earn this award until you have earned the Recruit Training Ribbon. It is the lowest decoration awarded to any Ranger.
