Looks like the bigbash might be heading toward West Grayside, probably for the mall. If this is the case there should be straggler zombies who head a bit north into Kempsterbank, or they could go straight into Kempsterbank directly. So I suggest we go around and check the barricades, and load up on ammo and prepare for the worst. [[User:Kittan|Kittan]] 02:38, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

:Actually, that current target thread on barhah.com was posted ''after'' the News entry above. Some time after. Me, I'm not accusing anyone of "spying" for snooping around on a ''public'' forum... But don't pretend you got the info from that post: you didn't, unless you're Dr Who. --[[User:WanYao|WanYao]] 21:29, 14 October 2007 (BST)

:For the record, I myself was ''agreeing'' with you MisterGame... Snooping a ''public forum'' is clearly not spying. Snooping, yes... Technically "spying"? No. As for time travel, etc... The boldfaced, official announcement of Kempsterbank as the current target ''was,'' to the best of my knowledge, made after your initial post. There was other relevant information there earlier, though. Anywaaaay... no effen bickering... :) But use  <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> or the sig button above the editing box to sign your posts, it really helps. It didn't take much to destroy Kempsterbank, did it? The Wingmen have only 19 members from their wiki, yet they were able to lay waste to the burb. Hmnnnnnnnn...... --[[User:WanYao|WanYao]] 16:26, 8 August 2007 (BST)

What is going on the the revivification points in Kempsterbank?  Are they up and running or are they dead?

The revive points in Kempsterbank are current and operational.  The [[Kempsterbank Neighbourhood Watch]] are doing their best to deal with the huge influx of the recently dead from the attacks on Pole Mall, but there are only so many revivification syringes out there!  Earlier reports of survivors camping on the revive points to get easy XP from attacking zombies are unsubstantiated - anyone killed whilst waiting at a Kempsterbank revive point should report it to the Kempsterbank Neighbourhood Watch.  And as far as Paradox goes, I believe this is old Graffiti - I have not seen any Paradox members in Kempsterbank. --[[User:Cthu1hu|Cthulhu]] 06:59, 16 Jan 2006 (GMT)

::[[Ebbutt Road]] is still open as well guys. But the [[Knights Templar]], as a group, is having a hard time finding syringes (for starters), and can't keep up with the influx either. My character, BARHAH Enforcer, started out as a GK, yes, but as you can see there has been no signs of him taking part in GK activity for several months. To the point: I really don´t think he deserves to be on the DNR list. [[User:FreakyM|FreakyM]] 08:53, 10 May 2007 (BST)

The [[Militant Order of Barhah]] was not "defeated" by any stretch; we were merely passing through the area.  Ferrying feral zombies is slow work, and takes about a week per suburb.--[[User:Jorm|Jorm]] 01:50, 24 May 2007 (BST)

:::Granted, I noted it as such on our group page since from a mission view the goal was to hasten the moving on of the MOB and keep the damage from ferals to a minimum, not an all out battle royal in the streets. But please enlighten me as to where else I said anything along the lines of defeating the MOB, as I apparently I've said it amongst other places. --[[User:BigJD|JD]] 02:55, 25 May 2007 (BST)

== Danger Level ==

The last thing I want to do is start an edit war...so...I'm going to broach this here, and see if some consensus can be reached.

According to the danger map, the descriptions of the danger levels are the following:
* Safe: Break-ins rare, no zombie groups.
* Moderate: Active zombies and break-ins, but no 50+ hostile hordes

Now...

1) Unlike most of the surrounding suburbs, there ''is'' an active zombie group in Kempsterbank, not just feral zombies. It's currently got 5-7 members active on a daily basis.  So one can't say there are "no zombie groups."

2) The zombie group succeeds in breaking into at least one building, approximately once a day.  Moreover, I usually hear at least one additional feeding groan a day from ferals, if I'm dead and lying outside.  As there are quite a few buildings in Kempsterbank, this probably still qualifies as "rare."

The crux of the matter is probably whether there is an an understood "AND" or an understood "OR" inbetween "break-ins rare," and "no zombie groups."  Do both of them have to be pretty much true for the suburb to marked "safe," or does just one of them have to be?

And, yeah, I'm of course partial to my [[SFHNAS|tiny zambah group]]. ;) I don't think that ruining one building gives us the right to change the danger level of the entire suburb...but I also don't think we need to be threatening half the buildings in the suburb, before the danger level can be validly changed. I'd like to know what the survivor groups of the area (and other zombies!) would consider a valid watermark, basically, so that there's no crazy DRAMA over the danger levels now, or at any time in the future.  And so we can both happily agree with a change to green, or yellow, or back to green, whenever it happens. --[[User:MillaD|MillaD]] 04:05, 11 October 2008 (BST)

:Interesting question. Going by gut feeling rather than the danger level descriptions, I'd say Kempsterbank's safe status is correct at the moment, except for one anomalous building. That building, taken on its own, has the feel of one in an orange or red suburb. For the last 4-5 days it has been ruined more often than not, and I haven't kept count of the number of breathers we've killed, but it's been at least 1 or 2 a day in coordinated strikes, and not all of us join in every attack.
:However interesting, though, I'm not sure I'm going to contribute to solving the problem. I view it as part of the experiment - I'm interested in seeing how the breathers react to the problems we pose, in-game *and* here in the meta.
:As I see it the problems are:
:* that taking an 'average' status would be misleading, exaggerating the danger in parts of the suburb which we aren't interested in, and giving a false sense of security in the bits we like to eat.
:* the suburb colour is very high profile - if more specific information is provided here or elsewhere, far fewer people will see it, so more people, especially nomads and newbies, will end up sleeping in deathtraps.
:My attitude is like a boy stirring an ants nest - I want to watch what they do, but I don't have their best interests at heart. Heh heh heh. [[User:Billy Forks|Billy Forks]] 14:43, 11 October 2008 (BST)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2011

All suburb wiki pages are undergoing a clean up to remove inactive groups from the group listing (see here: this suburb's groups). If you are a group currently listed in this suburb, you will be contacted on your group's talk page within the next few days and asked to reply with a list of suburbs in which you are active. Groups that fail to reply within two weeks of being contacted will automatically be removed from the suburbs where they are listed.

We're posting here in the hopes that more groups will be aware of the clean up and can respond appropriately, since our team does not have the time nor the manpower to seek out every group in-game or track down its group members elsewhere on the wiki. If you know that some groups in your suburb do not check the wiki, please be a good neighbor and let them know that they NEED to check it for this, or else they will be unlisted in the near future.

The wiki members coordinating the cleanup will be using the table below to track their progress in communicating with the various groups. Please do not edit it if you are not involved with The Great Suburb Group Massacre 2011 team.
