As I heard it, they wanted to push the zombie ratio to 70%, which they did not manage to accomplish. In addition, they managed to tick a lot of people off, myself included...not because of their success (LUE was just as earth-shattering), but because of how they acted in victory. On the flip side, they managed to cause more malls to fall than any other zombie group in history. They didn't have the coordination of LUE and they didn't need it. They simply threw such a vast number of zombies at you that the sheer mass was unstoppable, a juggernaut of destruction. This also led to an explosive depopulation of the suburbs surrounding the malls which is why, I think, they were so successful at slaughtering thousands of survivors. A good portion of mall populations live in buildings OUTSIDE the mall. Ordinarily, this gives those survivors time to escape when the mall falls, but in The Dead's case the destruction was complete and mind-blowing. I can honestly say that when Ackland Mall fell, I have NEVER had to work so hard to stay alive. I fled farther east than I have ever fled before to get away from The Dead, and several times they almost caught me. There was no safety anywhere, not even in suburbs with no malls at all. Always running; never having any where safe to go, almost getting killed at ever turn and logging in to see my character half dead. On top of that I have never had some many live battles in one week! Every time I logged in I was either walking by and getting attacked or trying to heal someone on the street and getting attacked! I have never had so much fun in a game this low teac.
