Mission

Dante's Guard is a survivor group based in Pescodside. Our name derives from Inferno where Dante descended into Hell with his companions or guards. We are the ones who guard the citizens of Malton from the hellish hordes of zombies that have destroyed our fair city. New members are always welcome. Our goals are as follows:

1. Keep St. Matthias's Church as a safehouse for new players until they gain experience.

2. Defend the Inman NecroTech building and assist in reviving survivors (this involve killing rotters stationed at revive points).

3. Provide assistance and healing to any survivor groups in Pescodside and Dulston.

4. Clear, repair and barricade infested buildings in the Pescoside area.

Recruitment Policy

Membership is open to any players who share our goals. If this sounds like fun to you, talk to one of our members, or email byobiohazard@yahoo.com. Our home bases are St. Matthias Church as our safe house and the Inman NecroTech building, both in Pescodside. No orders are issued, but we try and work together to be more effective and of course have more fun shooting the undead.

We are part of the Dulston Alliance to maintain order in the NE suburbs. We monitor the radio at 26.36 for requests for backup and news regarding zed activity. We work closely with the Friends of the Featherstone Library, who have lent their help on many occasions.

Current Operations

May 7th, 2008 I'm heading back to the church, it seems that a couple of the members have taken it back successfully. I'll be there tomorrow hopefully.-connorsname

May 6th, 2008 Props to James Fool for retaking and cading the church. Members of the Guard are trickling back to Pescoside after the destruction of the suburb. Lets rebuild our home. Make it back to the church and say hi when you get a chance

May 4th, 2008 James Fool here. Where exactly did everybody go? The suburb is back on its feet, St Matthias is repaired and caded, but no member of the Guard has returned yet. So, i'll be in the church, waiting for someone to show up... and sipping on sacramental wine.

April 23th, 2008 Connorsname reporting in, I just woke up in the church, everything destroyed. I don't understand how I'm still alive. It seems that everything is overrun. Can anyone enlighten me on what the heck happened? Im currently heading to the Miltown area, if anyone can meet me there I can revive a couple of people. We need to make a push back against the zombies.

April 9th Church is currently caded and being held. All members of the Guard who can, reinforce it and hold it. Then we start rebuilding the cades in the suburb

April 6th, 2008 - Pescoside is in ruins, and the Guard is now scattered. All suriving members of the Guard, lets regroup at Gidding's Mall to restock on supplies. Once we are rearmed, we can retake Pescoside in force. So, if you are alive, meet in Giddings, if you are in zombie form, head to the revive point on Walrond Square, just south of Giddings to get revived. None of the revive points in Pescoside are currently operating.

February 24th, 2008 - Though the fight is long from over, Pescodside is slowing getting back on its feet. Members if the Guard has acted bravely to defend the church, which is under seige. While we distract the zeds here, key resource buildings are under less pressure. The mall in Dulston is re-barricaded, as it most of Pescodside. Situation remains dangerous, due to the large numbers of zeds and break-ins. Keep up the great work.

Time to Rally The suburb is a wasteland, so lets take it back. Head south a few burbs and try and get revived. If not, this coming Saturday at noon EST lets take back the church! If you are a zombie, head there anyhow and we will revive you inside. As soon as possible, stand up and barricade. We will repair the surrounding buildigs as soon as we can. Email byobiohazard@yahoo.com if you can make this attack, and please indicate if you are human or zombie at this time. Let's kick some ass.

February 10th, 2008 - The Second Big Bash has ravaged the suburbs of Pescodside and Dulston. Members of the Guard who need revival, please head to NE Dulston. It has the only revive point working nearby, but who knows for how long. Duport Avenue has 30 zeds waiting for revives. If possible, return to the church. Damage has been repaired and barricades are back up. Let's take back the suburb!

December 17th, 2007 - Request for Backup: St. Matthias's Church has been breached! Only 2 survivors are left standing. Currently barricaded to EHB. We need first aid and assistance to keep the zeds out. They even tore down our Christmas trees and lights. The bastards...

December 7th, 2007 - The Inman NecroTech is under assault. There are 12 zeds inside and what few surivors remaining need first aid. Requesting all members of Dante's Guard to assist in re-taking Inman. St. Matthias's Church is also under assault by a small number of zeds that keep smacking the barricades, but so far they have been holding.

November 13th, 2007 - St. Matthias's Church is currently under attack. So far attacks have been repelled. All members of the Guard who are not busy elsewhere are encouraged to return until there until this threat is gone.

September 22nd, 2007 - Treweeke Mall has been retaken, with many survivors. Congrats to Dante's Guard, mission accomplished.

September 15th, 2007 - Pescodside has been very quiet recently. St. Matthias's Church is barricaded at very strongly for entry-level survivors. Members of the Guard aided in the defense of the mall over the course of the last week. The Inman Building has also been running and revives are being processed quickly at Mermagen Street.

September 4th, 2007 - With the mall under continuous siege Dante's Guard is doing their part in launching raids to retake this important resource building. Our stronghold of St. Matthias's Church has remained at extremely heavily barricades to keep the hordes at bay. Any survivor seeking respite from zeds is welcome in our doors, as we are within easy striking distance of the mall. In other news, revives are proceeding at a brisk pace at Mermagen Street and the Inman Building, allowing for the suburb to get back on their feet.

August 28th, 2007 - St. Matthias's Church is back to normal.

August 19th, 2007 - St. Matthias's Church has been taken and lies in ruins with zombies inside. Tavros is at the nearby fire station attacking when able. Other members of the guard are encouraged to tool up and join him.

August 13th, 2007 - After retaking and holding Inman for about 2 weeks, it has once again fallen into zombie hands. The Undeadites seem to be responsible for the latest series of attacks. Members are encouraged to fall back to the church for defense as large groups of zombies have been spotted in the suburb. Last scans showed well over 50 in the southern part of the suburb. Whether they are here to stay or are on their way to Dulston is currently unknown.

July 30th, 2007 - We are desperately fighting over Inman, and survivors in St Matthias's are getting edgy. The Hordes are spread around the Inman Building, there are about 40 in total. Should St. Matthias's Church fall, we are to meet in the SW corner of Treweeke Mall (4 northwest) to retake it en masse.

July 28th, 2007 – The Inman NecroTech building has been overtaken by zombies. A horde of about 20 zombies are currently standing outside, 2 zombies inside, no survivors, ransacked, and no barricades. Anyone interested in lending a hand to get this resource building back into survivor hands is welcomed to give us a hand. Members of the Guard are encouraged to sharpen their blades and start hacking away.

July 6th, 2007 - There has been a rapid increase in the number of zombies in Pescodside. St. Bart's Hospital has been breached multiple time. Scans reveal anywhere from 30-40 zombies in the area, with a handful of groups numbering about 10 zeds. Survivors are encouraged to seek shelter and help rebuild barricades and heal survivors when possible. Our safe house at St. Matthias's Church has remained barricaded and, well, safe. The Inman Building is powered and continues to handle revives at Mermagen Street. Any members of the Guard who find survivors they feel might be a good addition to Dante's Guard are encouraged to recruit them. Keep up the great work everyone.

June 10th, 2007 - Dante's Guard continues to keep a watchful eye on Pescodside. St. Matthias's Church has remained a safe haven for those seeking a safe house or entry point. The wounded are tended to ASAP there. Over-barricading is becoming a slight problem, as the number of zombies in the suburb remains low and they are being dealt with very effectively by the survivor groups in the area. The Mermagen Street revive point is clear, and the Inman Building is powered and barricaded. The main threat facing the suburb is the vast number of PKers, who continue to make live a bit more difficult. However, the Friends of the Featherstone Library and BAR have been very effectively in dealing justice to the PKer threat. Many thanks for their efforts.

May 28th, 2007 - Dante's Guard has been staying busy keeping Pescodside free of zombies. Zombie numbers are quite low, but there remain a few break-ins to keep things interesting. PKer activity has declined recently, perhaps due to the increased awareness and action against this threat. We have welcomed a number of new members to Dante's Guard and will continue to kick ass and take names. We have offered our aid to the Pescodside Defense Alliance (PDA) so that should Pescodside be under siege we can coordinate our efforts and offer tactical support to any survivors. St. Matthias's Church has remained barricaded as our safe house and the Inman Building has provided speedy revives at Mermagen Street.

April 14th, 2007 - The safehouse at St. Matthias's Church has been kept barricaded at Very Strongly (VS+2) and has remained a safe haven for survivors in Pescodside. PKing activity in the suburb remains a constant threat. Survivors inhabiting buildings with zombie skills outnumbering survivor skills would be wise to find another safehouse as zombie spies are not tolerated, particularly when those buildings are under attack. Many thanks to the members of the Dulston Alliance for their assistance in the counter-attacks required to hold the Inman Building against its zombie attackers. Without their assistance, the NecroTech building would have been lost.

April 3rd, 2007 - Things have simmered down a bit in Pescodside. Zombie numbers have been steadily decreasing with most buildings being barricaded. Much of the recent activity has focused on St. Bart's Hospital, where a medium zombie horde (15-20) has laid siege and broken into the hospital, killing survivors. The safe house at St. Matthias's Church has been holding strong, with a large number of survivors pitching in to help defend the church. The Inman Building has remained powered and revives are handled promptly. PKer activity has somewhat declined, though it still provides trouble in this 'burb.

March 12th, 2007 - Recent days have shown vicious fighting between Dante's Guard and a few zombie groups terrorizing Pescodside. St. Matthias's Church has been under constant siege with a number of break-ins. Surviving members of the Guard have been scattered for the time being while we revive and/or restock. The Inman Building has been breached a number of times by zombies and PKing activity has been particularly bad as the low number of survivors in Pescodside has decreased the number of targets for the PKers. Once the zombies leave the ruins of St. Matthias's Church, we will regroup either there or at the Inman Building. Many thanks to the other survivor groups, in particular the Friends of the Featherstone Library, for their assistance and getting us revived.

March 1st, 2007 - The Dante's Guard safehouse at St. Matthias's Church has been breached by zombies! Remaining survivors are encouraged to seek refuge in any of the surrounding buildings that still have barricades. If you were killed report to Mermagen Street or Duport Avenue in Dulston to wait for revival. The Guard should be able to regroup in the next few days once things simmer down with the departure of Mall Tour '07.

February 27th, 2007 - Mall Tour '07 is currently ravaging Treweeke Mall in Dulston. Zombie activity is expected to significantly increase over the next few days as the horde grows and then disperses as they move on to new targets. Senior members of the Guard have been reviving as many survivors as possible while our new members are sharpening their blades and chopping any zombies that wander into our suburb. The barricades at St. Matthias's Church are currently holding with its generator running. Those seeking shelter are encouraged to find us there.

February 23rd, 2007 - After a period of rest and being scattered across Malton, Dante's Guard is reforming its ranks in their original home in the NE Corner. The Guard is currently trying to maintain order in Pescodside as the zombie numbers have been increasing lately. The Inman Building has been under pressure from the zombies of Dead Animals. St. Matthias's Church has remained a safe haven for those survivors wishing a brief respite from the zombie hordes.
