Basic Info:
|
Heward Towers are located in north-eastern Dakerstown.
Description
History
Heward Towers are named after James K. Heward, who was one of the mayors of Malton, and was built in 1963.
The towers served as the campaign headquarters for subsequent mayors, however, none proved as popular as Mayor Heward. Oddly enough, any candidate that ran against Heward that used the towers as their headquarters always seemed to drop out of the race early. This lead to rumors that the offices were bugged. Local authorities were unable to prove that any Heward campaign staff member was involved in any wrong doing.
These allegations have earned the Heward Towers the reputation of being a "little Watergate" as a slight reference to the infamous Nixon scandal.
After the bombing of the McDougall Cinema in 1999, the outside of the building was burned badly, and for much of the following year and 2000 was under construction.
